A brief review of BIT

Dislikes

  • The inter department management is very bad
  • There is a lot of discrimination between facilities given to different departments

Course Curriculum Overview :

This course is a universal engineering course with its roots in every branch which influenced me to select it and it equally relevant with the latest advances but the curriculum is still very old with majority of softwares outdated amd the subjects have lost their relevance with times advancing towards latest technologies

Internships Opportunities :

There are a lot of companies that offer internships to students at BIT such as Boeing, Infosys, BMW, Wipro, Reliance etc and the stipend varies between the companies and student performance The college campus also favours students projects and provides working spaces and professional guidance along with a startup incubation program

Placement Experience :

The students can be eligible to get places from 6th semester There are a lot of companies that visit BIT like Google,Amazon,Infosys, wipro,HP,Mercedes,Boeing, etc. The highest package is around 50-60lpa And average package is around 3-4lpa

Fees and Financial Aid :

The annual fees is 99526? which includes the tution fees and skill development fee of 25000? The management fees is 300000? The fees for snq quota is 32000? The fees for Comedk is 300000? The management fees has decreased in past 3 years And currently the fees is at around 160000?

Campus Life :

The college has annual cultural fest called Manthan which hosts a lot of activities and celebrities along with music and DJ night The college also hosts annual called Kannada Kalarava which the cultural activities of karnataka are performed. The college also has a sports club which also hosts the annual sprots meet every year And the college has a lot of student clubs which they can join depending on their interests

Admission :

I had applied to MVJ College for mechanical engineering and RR College of Engineering for electrical engineering but considering the value the college holds and the location the college is in i finally came to a conclusion for either BMS College of Engineering or BIT and after my CET counselling i got a seat at BIT which ticked all my check marks The admission process if fairly easy first the student needs to complete the councelling process and get an admission letter and finish the payment then the student has to visit the college to finish the enrolment process and pay the skill development fee and get themselves enrolled into the college data base and obtain the ID card and the admission is done. This college accepts students with a enrolment from CET,COMEDK,JEE

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio is around 20:1, the majority of faculties are approachable and give a very positive response to the students. But there are some faculties who are just as worse the HOD himself is a non approachable person who never helps the students with any problems and clarifications and professor vasant kumar is a faculty whome nobody likes for his descriminative behaviour and his offensive attitude towards the students.

Night Life :

The college has 4 cafeterias with different varieties of food and drinks available and the public are thiugh not very large but is sufficient for the students to hang around The college also has hostel facilities where the mens hostel is located in the campus amd the women's hostel is located at the distance of 3km and bus facilities are provided for them The college library has a very large number of book collection and the students and avail any book with the digital library too There are a lot of hangout places around campus one of the famous place is VV PURA Food Street and the location is very safe tonroam around at night

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college (NHCE) is affiliated to VTU but it's autonomous college. I like mechanical engineering and my father is also a mechanical engineer which inspired me to mechanical engineering. It is a bit outdated, expect more applications of the concepts. As I said we have exams every month, the frequency is good and the difficulty of exams I mid to easy range.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There course subjects included in each semester is pretty much related to the branch of the student, each course subject has an important role in making the student ready for jobs. Some of the core subjects are necessary for real world applications and in the interviews as well during palcements ,questions have been asked from various subjects. Sometimes the speed of covering the syllabus is fast which makes us mug up the topics which is not beneficial for us because this method doesn't hold any value when it comes to applying it in real life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this curriculum because I like mechanical engineering. The program covers fundamental subjects like thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, machine design, and manufacturing processes. computational tools such as CAD & CAM are incorporated into the curriculum to enhance design and production skill. practical learning through well-equipped laboratories, workshops, and research opportunities with industry-standard facilities that allow students to engage in hands-on projects. Many students at MIT take part in collaborative research with faculty members, preparing them for careers in research. Frequency of exams is twice in a semester. One midsem and one endsem. Midsems are 30% of your total score Endsems are 50% of your total score. Rest are assignments.
