- Simply the campus is short and sweet . Not too large campus , students do not have to travel more for roaming around the campus . Whole campus is in mid city area is the best thing , every outdoor services are easily available .
- Well organised events by our college , fun activities and various workshops and seminars for specific domains .
Dislikes
- Students are divided into two categories : Hostlers and Day scholars . Girls are least interested in Games and sports activities .
- Intime of girl's hostel is 9:00 PM and attendance every night , college timings are too late and there is no swimming pool in the campus. 75% attendance criteria and lot of assignments .
Course Curriculum Overview :
Our academic calender is well designed in advance before the year starts and is followed with strict discipline , although changes can be made as per future requirement and condiotions . We have two mid sem tests and one end sem examination . In between semester we have quiz, viva and various assigments . We are given 10 days preparation leave before our end semester examination. There is a 75% attendance criteria in which students have to maintain 75% attendance to give final end sem examinations .
Placement Experience :
Placement scenes are well and good in our college .Various companies like Delloite , TCS and infosys visit our college for campus placements. There are many of our seniors who have got placed in various good companies . My plan after degree is to get recruitment in PSU's .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
As per my old branch i.e. Computer Science Engineering Tution Fees per semester : 33,500/- Caution money : 5000/- Total fees during admission (for all branches except IT and BME) : 51,900/- SGSITS alumini association fees : 1000/- 2nd sem - 45,650/- After my branch change to Information Technology: 3rd - 8th sem : 59650/- Yearly - 119300/- [including both semesters] Fees structure as per my admission year 2022: For all branches except BME and IT : 45,650/- per semester Yearly : 91,300/- Post Metric Scholarship available for ST , SC , OBC students ,amount is as per your fees structure . MMVY for students who have scored rank under 1.5 lakh.
Campus Life :
Campus life is quite good .Our annual fest is named as AAYAAM . Various clubs organise various events as per their domains . All coordinate among themselves so that events won't collapse . We have good sports facilities . We have high tech smart boards in our labs,and there are well furnished classrooms .
Hostel Facilities :
As it is a government hostel so we cannot expect much . In hostel we have two , three and four seater rooms . Furniture provided in a room are - a bed , table , chair and an almirah . Water chiller is available . Laundry service is paid . Electrical items like press , induction , hair straightner ,curler etc are not allowed . There is intime for girl's hostel 9:00 PM. If anyone wish to go out for night stay , she have to write an application . Attendance is taken everynight. Meal is average ,don't expect too good food. 3 meals are provided per day including evening tea . Room cleanliness should be maintained by students itself. No attached washrooms . Comman bathroom and washrooms are there . To apply for hostel a google form is circulated , you have to fill it and an allotment list is displayed at college website.
Admission :
I have chose this college for me because this is the 3rd tier engineering college of Madhya Pradesh after IIT Indore and NIT Bhopal This college one of the top government engineering college of Madhya Pradesh. To get admission in this college one have to clear JEE Mains examination held by NTA with PCM in 10+2 .You will get admission on the basis of your rank , number of seats available and your category. After scoring well inJEE Mains Examination , one should apply in MPDTE councelling to get admission in this college . MPDTE is a councelling session for engineering students . I have applied for other colleges too but in MPDTE councelling i have put this college at highest priority and i have got seat here that's why i didn't took admission in other colleges
Faculty :
There is one teacher over hundred students in a classroom and around 20 - 30 students in lab batches .Batch IT 2026 is divided into 2 sections which also include students admitted from diploma and students who have changed their branches. Overall faculties of our department are very supportive . We also have our faculties as our assigned mentors to solve our problems . I specifically don't like those teachers who always shout at students .
