  • The course is a little bit strict but that is needed in this field
  • The amount of money they ask from us for various purposes

Course Curriculum Overview :

The reason I like this course is because of the huge amounts of exposure that the students receive, even though you are an introvert, by the ending of the course you would have earned atleast some level of leadership skills and abilities. The course is well structured and there is no particular area for improvement, it's the students who have to adjust to this course and see whether they fit in or not.

Internships Opportunities :

Internships are given at the start of 2nd year and at the start of 3rd year. The ones given at the start of 2nd year is for 2 months in order to ground the students and make them ready for the course. The ones given at the start of 3rd year is for 5 months, and the first semester is fully and internship. This is to show the students what the reality of the hotel industry looks like and to get rid of their ego and attitude. This also gives a vast amount of exposure to us and prepares us for the future in this industry.

Placement Experience :

Placement wise, the college offers placements in various properties around the city and abroad. Students in the final year sit for their placements and properties like the Oberois, Taj Group of Hotels come for placements The college has tie ups with the Oberoi Group of Hotels, which offers a 2 year management training programme which trains the students in all aspects of the hotel industry. It is very hard to get placed in the Oberois and that is one of the hotels that everyone tries to get into. The Oberois offer a package of 4 lakhs per annum for their Management training programme as freshers. A majority ofbthe final year students have gotten into various properties and only a few have been placed in the Oberois. After getting the degree, I will work for a couple of year to gain experience and then branch out on my own to set up my own restaurant/hotel.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The year wise fee 1st year - 177000 2nd year - 177000 3rd year - 187000 4th year - 230000 The NRI Fee is way more than the regular fee, yearly, they will have to pay 400000 per year and it will keep increasing as the years go by

Campus Life :

The Campus of our college is very beautiful and very big aswell. It is a very well maintained campus with loads of space to relax and enjoy. There are many University level fests organised like Dharpan which is a cultural and sports fest for the whole college for the students to show case their skills and abilities. There are 2 libraries in the college with access to over 500 books and easy availability of any book the students would want to refer to for their exams and educational purposes. The technology is used very efficiently in classrooms, with a projecter and a screen in every class with dual speakers offered to each class. There is huge amounts of parking area in the college for the students and the faculty to park their vehicles and it is easily accessible.

Admission :

I applied to only this college for this particular course as I couldn't find any other colleges that offered the same course and how much it stood out because in all of Bangalore, this course in this college is rated 4.3 out of 5 and I've heard lots of people that talk about this course. This college has tie-ups with various hotels around the city and even abroad, which can provide a huge amount of exposure to the students. The admission process of this college is fairly simple. First, there's an entrance exam conducted by the college and after that, there is an interview conducted by the faculty of the course. Once you clear the interview you are selected for this course. The eligibility for this course is you have to pass in 10+2 equivalent in any of the streams (Science, Commerce, Humanities). Overall, it's a difficult course to get into as there is only 60 seats offered by the college.

Faculty :

The faculty and students have a very good and professional relationship because it is important to treat the teachers as your teachers and not your friends and for 4 years of you don't maintain a good relationship with them, then it will be a tough time. There is no specific faculty members that I like or dislike, i respect each and everyone of them equally and give importance to all the subjects equally.

Placement Experience:

The campus has an active placement cell. The college starts the placement offerings on 4th year of a student The students get job offers from leading 5 star hotel brands for job offers and internships like Marriott, Hilton , Sheraton, Raddisson and Hyatt. The highest package for a fresher in the industry is 25000 rupees per month The college prides itself in giving 100 % job placements to all the students opting for campus placements. My plan after getting the degree is to pursue higher studies in the US
