No nothing . KGP is the best thing . Management is very good. Every kgpian loves KGP. We are well directed by our faculty. They are very friendly with all students. In Kgp we miss home and in home we miss Kgp. Students connection with KGP is so strong. An

Entrance Preview :

IIT JEE I am very much interested in mining. And IIT Kharagpur is well known for quality education. I think this is the best place.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Yes. It's fine. Each year we have two semesters. One is Autumn starts in July and ends in November. Other is Spring starts in January and ends in April. Each subjects were given some credits. We can take up to 28 credits Grading given by considering credits for particular subject.

Internships Opportunities :

I done my internship at SCCL RAMAGUNDAM. It was very good experience. I now can relate many things which I have learned in book with what I nave seen in mines. They didn't offer me any stipend because it is a government company.

Placement Experience :

Every year 1000 students get placed. Nearly 100 companies come to kharagpur. Average pay is 6 lakhs per annum. Almost 90% of batch will get placed.

College Events :

Spring fest: Cultural Many people around India comes to this fest they enjoy a lot Kshitij: Tech fest Asia's biggest techno management fest. And many more like this. Robotix , Great step.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Feasible. Most people can afford. Banks are also giving student loans. It is around 50000 per semester . And we get scholarship of 60000 per year. For facilities they are providing I think it's good amount.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

SBI offers student loan. Students having particular CGPA can able to get scholarships. Many banks are giving student loans and making life peaceful.

Campus Life :

First Kgp is the best place i have ever seen. Students are very friendly. I am very glad because I met my freinds for life . Gender ratio is around 8:1. No politics . Labs are very good . We can go at anytime . We have the best library.

Hostel Facilities :

9/10. In first year we have rooms on sharing basis. Either 3 per room or 2 per room. From second year most of us will get single room with WiFi.

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

We have very good interactions. Alumnis are very helpful. Even though they are graduated they comes to Kgp and will have some chat with us . This helps us in many ways. They share their experiences and ideas.

Exam Structure :

Yes its cool . In a semester We have mid sem nd end sem xams. Midsem comes two months after starting semester and after 2 months we have end sem exams.

Faculty :

More than Good. Many of them are best and good people. They help us very much. They made us feel comfortable . They have very good knowledge on subject they are teaching and also on non teaching.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
