Likes

The teachers are great. They teach every concept very well.
They also provide practical lab experience with theory
College campus is properly maintained and different youth fest and competition held every month

Dislikes

The size of college campus is very small
Most classes are maintained very well but some are in very small size and low maintained
Prices for the food in canteen is a little high for me

Well i am from maths background so i really into these technical and creativity things. that's why i choose the bca so that i can go in the field of technology. I am in first year right now so they are teaching from the basics and slowly leveling me up

Class Size: 84Course Fees: INR 52352 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

So they charges 52,352 yearly for bca and total cost would be almost 1.60 lakhs. In addition they charge 800 for fillling the form for the first time during the admission. Also 3250 for examination fees.

Campus Life

They organise youth fest every year after sometime from the admission where students can participate in different activities like dance competition, singing competition, photography competition etc.where students can show their talents. Also many students organised political parties are there, so intrested once can also join there.

Admission

Davc college is semi govt college that's why the only eligibility for the admission is by merrit list on the basis of your marks. They also provide offline admission for specific course otherwise you can also fill the form online. I opted bca that's why the cutoff were more than 70% for general category students

Faculty

I like the the college faculty most. Teachers are friendly and teach every concept very well with practical lab experience. There are 2 main exams every semester, one is mid semester which covers half the syllabus and other is main semester exams which covers whole syllabus

Normal insights over chandigarh university

Placement Experience:

I think in 3rd semestewr they offer the extra coure for placements and all the placements are good in chandigarh university in the end of the college degre we will get a avg job by their offered placements.

Placement Experience:

1. After 6 semesters the students become eligible for there college placements 2.The companies that visited my college are google microsoft and various other large tech companies and the largest offer made to our students were 1 crore ctc 3. The highest package was 1 crore ctc in our college and average package is that of 15 lpa in our college 4.There are 50-60% of students that get placements from our college 5.My plans after getting the degree is to get a good placement offer if not then getting into an multinational firm

I have seen many modern world Technologies in the Chandigarh University, like Open AI, Machine learning, and all, which influence me to take admission in the Chandigarh University. Students can attend placement seminars in their last year of graduation. There are mostly placement offers for the role of sales and marketing or chat-call executives. IT companies do visit also but very rarely and they only hire only 5 to 10 candidates. There are sometimes unpaid internship opportunities available too.

DAV college : 'Not everyone's cup of Tea'

Course Curriculum Overview:

BCA in itself is not a very good course that will gurantee your placement in a good company with high package, Its relevance is high only beacuse its easy to complete and get the degree. For good packages you have to do MCA or work harder on your skill to get a good job. BCA helps in building base of your coding career, it offers a good grasp of C/CPP, Java and DataStructure.

Sggs is alright, if you dont expect much

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because i was interested in computers and didn't wanted to do arts, and i was underqualified for other streams. Every class has about 45 students, the number vary but not much. The faculty and teachers are helpful. There maybe some slacking by both sides here and there but its alright. The teaching mathod varies. If you know what youre doing the exams are not that hard to pass.

College is truly wonderful

Placement Experience:

In 4th or 5th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Many companies visited like, amazon, paytm, flipkart, skrill, justdial, swiggy, zomato and many more. 90% students got placed. The minimum average package companies offered to students is around 1.5 lakhs and maximum 2.5 lakhs.

Excellent collage in chandigarh

Placement Experience:

Every year number of companies visit college to give student jobs. Well known companies visit in college like Google Amazon Tata Nike etc. In the last semester we are eligible for campus placement. The highest package was given by Amazon to one of the student of our college Was 2 crore per annum. The average package of our college was 20 lakh per annum. There are likely all the students Get placement. I had planned to become a software developer after my degree was completed

THE LIFE AT DAV COLLEGE

As DAV is ranked one of the best instituions in north region for Bcom degree. As I have done my schooling from chandigarh only getting a college in chandigarh was the best option for me and I had heard about DAV a lot as it offers good studies with extra co curricular activites like NCC, NSS and many other societies.
