Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum in law faculty is based on bare acts and case material provided by faculty itself. Study is totally case based and very comprehensive. I choose law after graduation because I find law very interesting subject and it is very interesting.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for LLB in du in around 6000. There is not any specific scholarship for students. Course structure is best. Teachers are also good. Placement and internships opportunities are still lacking.

Campus Life

3.5

There are not any particular events which held regularly. Last year in 2023 a sports meet was held . Freshers and farewell party held every year by student union. Ac's are being installed in the Umang Bhawan building. In library you can find almost each and every book which is relevant and required.

Admission

I didn't applied to any other colleges. I did my graduation from Ramjas college and I had an idea of environment in the law faculty so I choose Delhi University for LLB. I didn't even filled form for any other colleges.

Faculty

3

Faculty members are comparatively good . Assistant professor and professor teach comparatively good than the guest teachers. You will get a 100 marks question paper and no internals. Marking scheme is little harder in law faculty. You will barely manage to score 60-70% even if you study hard or study just 15 days before exams. It totally depends on your learning skills.

Being very passionate about law it brought me closer towards the subjects i thought I'd never like. It's vast curriculum has made me like a lot of subjects and has also given me a real life applications and further academic achievement however I feel like the curriculum should focus on law subjects from the very beginning and teaching could be improved by further interactive session between students and faculty.

There are not as such campus placements but the students secure ppos from the law firms. Majority of the students do not go for corporates as the field diversified in judiciary, litigation etc. The placement cell is working hard to bring in companies for hiring.

The curriculum is good for the real world applications as the course teaches us about the practical work. They can improve their course by adding more moot court practices during the semester and by giving the students the opportunity to practically utilise the bookish knowledge they are gaining.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very much practical knowledge based and helps the students to grow there legal reasoning which helps them to prosper in the profession. Also it helps them to read and correlate the real time judgements being passed, this curriculum prepares the students to understand the reasoning behind the judgements. Though the curriculum is practical knowledge based it still requires many improvements as these case are old and some of them are even overruled, also the we have to write very long answers which needs to be changed as new methods like ooen text book exams can be adopted to improving.
