What Students Say
Likes
- The faculty in the college has a vast experience not only in theoretical knowledge but also practically.
- The large strength of the students provide me a good exposure and helps me making new connections and make a robust network of people, which is very necessary for my professional and personal growth.
- The examination pattern is practical based, hypothetical questions are asked which help a students to gain practical knowledge of the variety of subjects. Also the exam papers resembles with judiciary exams which helps the student.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure is quite old and the same is with the classes, certain renovations need to be made in those.
- The placement cell of the college in not that upto the mark in providing internships, so the students have to get those on there own, also they don't provide any NOC for internship for which students have to manage there attendance
- There is no internal assessment, only one end semester exam also there no marking standard prescribed so students have to write a lot like the old school times and still there is only average marking.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is very much practical knowledge based and helps the students to grow there legal reasoning which helps them to prosper in the profession. Also it helps them to read and correlate the real time judgements being passed, this curriculum prepares the students to understand the reasoning behind the judgements. Though the curriculum is practical knowledge based it still requires many improvements as these case are old and some of them are even overruled, also the we have to write very long answers which needs to be changed as new methods like ooen text book exams can be adopted to improving.
Internships Opportunities
I have completed three internships but none of them was provided by the college. This is a drawback of the college placement cell but now they are putting efforts to improve it. The alumini network of the college is strong and helping through which the students get internships.
Fees and Financial Aid
The campus donot provide employment to the students which is a drawback to me. The tution and examination fees per year is rs8010 which is very much affordable but as for the complete course student just have to pay rs24030/-. Although the fee is low but since the college donot have hostel the students have to live in pg or rented flats for which the rates are very high and not easy for every student cannot afford it. This issue of residence needs to be addressed asap. I myself pay a lot of money for the rent. Majorty of the students donot come from very good financial background so they just however manage the ends.
Campus Life
The campus life is phenomenal as there are a lot of students, this provides us a opportunity to connect with them thorough various groups and societies. The campus have a active lss, criminal law society, moot court society, which helps a student to develop in every dimension.
Admission
To apply for the course on needs to be a graduate. The entrance exam is held annually, one can easily fill the form at NTA's website once the notification is out for cuet pg. The entrance exam is doable as it is a general test with maths upto metric, english, general knowledge, reasoning and computer. Earlier there used to be a legal reasoning section but it was removed in the year 2023, which I find weird as it helped the students to have a slight idea of law and bloster there knowledge when the course starts.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is high so it is not possible for the professor to interact with everyone in the class. The credentials of the faculty are outstanding but the approach they follow to teach varies from person to person, some of the faculty have a very good approach but there are some who just have a normal teaching methods. The students get very heavy case mate which we have to read and those also need to be updated with the new judgements. When it comes to the interaction with the teachers students don't face see it as a problem because the teachers are very much cooperative and it is very easy to get in touch with them.
