What Students Say
Likes
- Diversity in the campus, you'll meet people of various backgrounds. Good for networking.
- Great placement support by the college's placecom.
- Various clubs and committees, and the whole college is run by them.
Dislikes
- The fees is too high as compared to other colleges of the same league.
- 100% attendance policy, good for discipline but it is hard to maintain.
- Too much diversification in courses, they even have IPL programme.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very diverse and it includes almost every subject which is needed in the MBA journey of a typical student. It is applicable very well in the practical world, and we are even taught some frameworks and theories which are very useful. Because of the trimester pattern, everything is fast paced, and you won't be able to catch up with it if you are not completely focused.
Internships Opportunities
The college provided 100% placement facilites for internships as well, and many big companies come to our campus for the same. It starts as soon as you join the college, and the college supports in desining our CV, and reviewing it, etc.
Placement Experience
The placement committee of IIM Rohtak is very hard working, even if by any chance you're not able to get placements, the committee will assist you and give off-campus opportunities as well. They offer 100% placement for the batch. Currently the average package is INR 19 LPA, highest 42 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees paid during the entrie duration woube be close ti INR 30-32 Lakhs, and it includes everything from hostel to mess charges. There is a considerable amount of security too, which is refunded when you complete the course. The fees for first three years is fixed, around 5.9 Lakhs per annum, post that, MBA fees is charged. It also includes study materal fee, caution deposits, etc.
Campus Life
The campus is very big, 200 Acres. One thing which I did not like is that it is 30 mins away from the main city, and even in the campus, there are limited options for snacts or something. But the good news is, there are 2 dhabas just outside the campus, you even get some shops for snacks.
Hostel Facilities
They provide dual sharing with bunk bed options, and the meals are excellent, they even provide south indian food. It is a residential programme, so it is mandatory for everyone to take the hostel accomodation.
Admission
I applied to literally every top college you can think of for BBA and Integrated programmes. I got calls from Symbiosis Pune & Noida, NMIMS, DU, etc. and I chose IIM Rohtak because of the dual degree programme, high placement packages, and great diversity and course curriculum. I got rejected from IPM IIM Rohtak as my interview round was not cleared.
Faculty
Highly qualified faculties from various IIMS and other big institutes, even have exposure of internation faculties. I've never faced any issue of lack of faculties or something, and what I loved the most about them is that most of them have done their PHDs from top IIMs, and there are also visiting faculties from big colleges. Professor Archit Tapar, Amol Singh, etc. are some of the best faculties at the campus. Exams are conducted in a trimester basis, basically you have to give exams after every 1.25 months.
Interview Experience
The topic I got for public speaking was if 5G is good for the environment or not. I had to think about it for 2-3 minutes, and speak something about it for 2-3 minutes. The Personal Interview was based on my experience, things which I have studied, economics, etc.
