  • The college building is very old testament of the fact that it is 100 years old. So it may not look aesthetically pleasing but renovation work is done time to time.
  • Summer holidays are very rare and you won't get them.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course for non-core branches is designed to keep up with what is required in the industry and to enhance their learning experience, students are sent to different industries by the end of the 3rd year for their industrial training. One may feel drained after examinations at regular intervals as each semester contains two mid-sems, one to two practicals with viva+ quiz, and an end-semester examination. Certain subjects are also there that do not require written examination and should be evaluated on the basis of oral examination or practical.

Internships Opportunities :

The famous companies that give internships in hbtu are Nerolac Paints, Asian PPG, Tata Motors, parle, exonoble, Bajaj, Maruti Suzuki, Nippon Paints, etc. Some of them offer stipends and some don't and the stipend ranges from 10k to 50k.

Placement Experience :

The campus placements of Hbtu are very good for average students as the trends of campus placement show that almost 70-95% of the students get placed with an average package for all. You may rarely hear that any student is unplaced. Also, the glamorous 1 Cr packages are rare. The average package is around 7 lacks per annum and the highest will be 30 -35 lacs per annum.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tuition fee for 1st year students is 1.35 lakhs then it decreases to 1.25 lakhs in the 2nd year then it remains the same for the remaining years. They are also allowed to pay their fee partially in two installments. For fee waiver students the 1st year tuition fee is 60000 then it decreases to 52000 for the rest of the duration. Hostlers have to pay an extra 60000 approx for mess and hostel, They may get triple or double sharing rooms in 1st year depending upon availability but till the end of 2nd year, they are alloted single rooms. Girls are alloted to the east-campus hostels which are closer to lecture halls and classrooms. While boys can get allotment in east as well as west campus hostels. Scholarship amount credited to general students ranges between 50 to 60 thousand while fee waiver students generally don't receive scholarships.

Campus Life :

Clubs and events are those fields in which hbtu lacks but one of the few events that stands out are Adhyaay, Pact, etc. Similarly, the NSS club is of great importance in hbtu. The classroom are equipped with smart boards but whether they will be used or not depends on the teacher.

Admission :

Any aspirant who has taken the exam of JEE MAINS and has cleared the cut-off is eligible to take admission to HBTU. Depending upon his/her score different branches may be alloted. Htbu does not take part in Jossa or Csab counseling process but instead, it runs its own counseling process. Students can register them on the hbtu.nic or hbtu.ac for counseling. If they are unable to get the desired seats then they can also try for offline counseling which is done after any student has vacated their seat or selects a different branch. For offline counseling, students need to visit the campus.

Faculty :

The faculty members are all very experienced and have industry experience which is very important to teach branches related to plants and production. The faculty of Hbtu is very diversified with young and also experienced teachers each of them contributing to the betterment of students, teachers from different generations give students different perspectives on any topic which makes learning interesting.

Placement Experience:

In this college, there is 100 percent placement of all students. But some students choose to take admission in post-graduation. Post-graduation course is not available in this college due to University policy.
