- Most liked thing would be the campus . I’m the middle of such a hectic city this college offers a very peaceful campus. Overall surrounded by lush green trees and the river Mula mutha . The infrastructure, the essence of being ancient ,it’s wonderful
- Also , the course curriculum and the faculties being helpful is really great . You can be totally friends with the faculty and they would assist you with whatever you are going through even after you graduate
Dislikes
- The exam pattern would be my most disliked thing as you don’t get enough time to prepare . You can expect exams every month as the gap between each exam would be 25-35 days and there are three exams per semester, so it is quite hectic
- Then the second thing I would say is regionalism. Unlike other colleges where usually there is rivalry among branches or senior junior here you can expect among different regions of Maharashtra. So that is something I disliked very much
Course Curriculum Overview :
I decided to take the course of civil engineering as I was interested for the same, and for the further pursuits the curriculum played a great role as curriculum is designed in such a way that not just your course but all the other courses basic knowledge is covered in your course. Our curriculum had elective subjects that would be given based on the way you fill the option form and those electives were the subjects that would be related to other branches and all those electives were same for all branches so during those periods the students of all branches would seat together. Along with educational subjects we had personality development related subjects and also hobby related subjects like dance music painting photography. All those things help in overall development
Internships Opportunities :
As I was preparing for further studies I did not opt or took any internship . But many companies do come for internships and provide internships with period anywhere between 2-6 months with stipend . As I have not taken any internship I have no idea with the roles offered . You can expect internship for computer entc electrical etc branches
Placement Experience :
When you come to third year and into the second semester you can have opportunities for internship and a few companies where you are for internships may offer job based on your work at the internship so that is one way of placement. In the forth year , 1st sem you can expect companies coming for the placement drive , many well known companies visit the campus like Deloitte, Barclays , Mastercard , LnT, Aditya capital, Alcon's, prodair and yet many more . They have some criteria based on which you can apply then there are rounds taken by company and after interview they give the results out . Highest package that came this year in 2024 was of 52 lakh per anum , average package I would say was 9 lakh pa Percent of students getting placed depends on the course they opt for computer Entc you can expect percent to be 85-100 while for branches like civilit comes down . If student doesn't get placement for that year we are allowed for the placement drive that takes place one year later.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tuition fees was raised I think two years back since then it is the same . Complete cost of education lump sum I would say around 5-6 lakhs including college fees hostel fees mess charges and everything else for 4 years . Also there are scholarships available for students you can apply based on the caste or category you belong to by providing all the required documents and those scholarships usually pay for your fees which depends on your category of admission. Also educational loans are available at college so students can opt the same . For campus employment yes there is one where you have to work at library and they pay wages per hour and this amount is then given to you at the end of the month. Also alumni scholarships are there , for all those benefits it is advised to stay in touch with student section or your faculty advisor. For MTech students stipends are present
Campus Life :
Annual events that take place in the college are , basically there are four flagship events held every year that includes , zest , impressions , regatta and Mindspark . Students from all over the Pune come to visit those events . And along with those many other Evernote are held you can expect an event every one or two month gap . College has a central library also few departments have there own department library so students have larger accessibility. Classrooms have a writing board along with a smart tv and also projector is present All sorts of extra curricular activities are offered by the college . Spots art dance music managing events , educational clubs robotics clubs , you can expect every thing and all those things help in building great personality
Hostel Facilities :
I was a student from girls hostel . In our room we were three of us , there are two kinds of hostel . Common hostel are provided for first year students where 4 sharing room with bunk beds is available while , for 2,34 th year you have new hostel building where 3 sharing rooms with attached washrooms are present . In room there are three bed three cupboards three tables and chairs , lan port , electricity boards a big window , shoe rack cupboard is present For food I would say it it the best and most hygienic mess you can ever find in Pune . Registration process for hostel is quite easy and also once fees are paid room will be allotted to you based on your marks and also for girls every girl gets hostel and the hostel rate is 45000 year with 10000 deposit Pg is available at the back of the Jm corner as I saw but I haven't rented so I have no idea
Admission :
Eligibility of the course is the merit list of the two exams that it MHT-CET and JEE. Those two exams are required in order to take admission in the college . Also as this college very popular and of top ranking there is so much competition to get into the college . Also there is availability of direct second year Admission based on the polytechnic scores btut even that is very competitive I would say you have to be above 96% in your mht cet exam to secure admission . Then cap rounds are held overalll state and allotment is done based on cut off of each round . Once you get into this college then all the details that are required for admission process are shared CET is held yearly and if you are JEE aspirant then cet is not that hard. But in order to get into coep you have to be prepared and score top ranks Reservation benefits are there but still it is very competitive. Reserve categories have cut off but less than the open and obc cut off
Faculty :
So I don't have exact number for the faculty to student ratio but I would say faculties are available for every student and they pay attention to you if you stay in touch with them . So for effectiveness it would depend on the student the way he is with the faculty. Also for the qualifications, all the faculties are post graduate from well known institutions of India like IIT's and NIT's so all of them are very well qualified For approchability I would say , they are approachable . They try to help every student possible so that is something great of the college
