Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is not that much updated but some of the courses are. There are lab courses too which in turn provide real world experience. Handling exams is always difficult as there is not much gap between each set of exams.
Placement Experience :
7th semester students are eligible to sit for placements. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Carrier, NVIDIA, ZScaler etc visited the institute and the number of offers stands close to around 200. The highest and the average packages were 44.5 and 7.5 respectively. The profiles offered were Tech, Non Tech and Teaching roles. The percentage of students placed is around 50%. I would be joining TCS as an Innovator.
Fees and Financial Aid :
The Tution fee increase policy is there but the rate of increase is not much. The complete cost of education turns out to be close to 8 lakhs. There are a lot of scholarships available which includes those listed on NSP. The campus employment which I recently got is the role of an Innovator at TCS,
Campus Life :
The fests are held two times which involve both technical and cultural fest - Vulcanzy. They are held in the month of February and November. The range of books available is great. Smart boards are there in the classrooms. Gymnasium, Indoor Sports Complex and Outdoor Sports Ground are there, providing facilities for each sport. Prayatnam and several other clubs are there which are catering everyone's social life.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel room has a cot, an almirah, a table and chair and a fan. The quality of meals is average and menu is mostly South Indian. The registration process is sound and its affordable to take a hostel room.
Admission :
The eligibility of the course is 75% in boards and also a good rank in JEE Mains. The application is through JEE Mains and College allotment is through JOSSA Counselling. JEE Mains exam is held two times a year and it's moderate to difficult. The areas of improvement can be in the procedure of alloting colleges.
Faculty :
The faculty to student ratio was around 1:110 in my class. Most of the faculties had their PHDs from renowned institutions and their approach to teaching and mentorship was excellent. The approachability was good and interaction with faculties could be carried out through mail as well.
