Ceramic Field is one of the fast developing field . Many research are being done on ceramic field . Our Anna University Campus teaches everything about Ceramic field . Our Department has many lab facilities which is useful to all the Ceramic student
Department Staffs are more professional about the field and helps us to learn more details about Ceramics . Staffs are so friendly and the classrooms are apt for learning

Course Curriculum Overview :

I had interest to learn new things . Many people choose only known courses . But I had different idea so chose Ceramic Technology and Now this is one of the rapid growing courses and company in India . Our college have well trained Staffs with more knowledge and our education system is based on Smart technology. Exams are little bit easier to pass .All the students are able to score an average of 70%

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 20000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Mostly stipend is not offered for the internships . Students are engaged with many ceramic , glass , cement, sanitaryware and refractory companies . Intership is mandatory after the sixth semester and projects is done in final year 8th semester.

Placement Experience :

Students are eligible to attend the placements from 7th semester. Students with more CGPA are placed in top companies like Saint Gobain , Lixil , Roca . The placement percentage is 92% The Highest package is about 6-8 LPA and lowest is upto 3-4 LPA

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees structure is classified as Semester fees and seperate Hostel fees . Semester fees is 20,000 and total of 8 semesters . Hostel fees is 30,000 per students with good rooms and hygiene mess food. College offer many scholarship based on Caste and Each department offer separate scholarship for students

Campus Life :

The University Library is one of the biggest building with 4 floors . It has all kinds of books for Engineering students and students are allowed inside the library with College ID card only. Many Technical and non technical events are held in all departments every year in even semester and 2 -3 College culturals will be held every year in the even semester

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel rooms are well furnished and new buildings and rooms are provided to students. 4 students are alloted for each room . For each year seperate hostels will be provided. The hostel food is hygiene and Registration process for hostel is only offline and easy process

Hostel Fee : INR 30000 per year

Admission :

The admission process is completely based on marks and counselling . Students with high marks can only choose Anna University as this is the top most engineering college in Tamil Nadu. College also provide many special reservation and scholarship for students based on percentage and Caste

Faculty :

The Department staffs are more professional and well trained in this field of teaching. They help us to learn many important topics and other aspects of gaining knowledge. The staffs are very friendly to students. Various assignment are given to improve our knowledge and quiz are conducted every month.

Placement Experience:

Students starting placed from their last semester. Reputed companies gave an offer. Like tcs, Accenture, Infosys, etc. The highest package will be 60k and minimum 25k. 98% got placed before completing the degree. 55% above is the minimum for placement if you want to be placed in a high package of salary Job.

SASTRA College Life- An Amazing Experience

Admission:

I got the Admission in this college based on 12th marks and Jee main. i got Jee main score of 130 and 12th marks of 95%. so based on this they will ready a common Merit list and publish the All India ranks. based on your AIR , you will be called for counseling. You have to go to the SASTRA campus, on your allotted counselling date and time and Book the Branch of your choice. This is the Admission process

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course Curriculum is really good it's on par with Bits and Nit syllabus. It's well designed to both suit the students needs and also equip them well with the basic fundamental concepts which can further strengthen their core concepts knowledge . moreover , the syllabus is designed in such a way that it covers 85% of gate exam syllabus. so we can also appear for gate exam immediately after completing our course. The Exam structure is based on conceptual learning. one has to be well equipped with concepts in order to pass in the exams. We must not mug up at any point of time as SASTRA exams will test your concepts rather than ur memory capacity. It will have 3 Cia exams out of which the best 2 exam scores will be considered for internal assessment and then followed by final semester examination which consists of 100 marks out of which 50 will be considered for overall grading. This is the exam structure
