Course Curriculum Overview :

REC is an autonomous institution They frame their own syllabus which Is somewhat related to the industrial requirements. The curriculum prepares us really good for the real world problems. The teaching methods are quiet simple usually they take 4 theory class and 3 practical classes in a day. Usually they conduct 3 internal exam and a final University exams.

Class Size : 64Course Fees : INR 205000 per year

Placement Experience :

In REC students are eligible after completing 6 semesters. Top IT companies like CTS, TCS, ACCENTURE, and WIPRO are hiring students 90% of placements are in REC. The highest package is 45L per annum. More than 90% of students in this college are placed in campus interviews. My plan after getting a degree is to get placed in a good company.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There wont be any increase in fees the fees which you pay for first year you pay until completion of your graduation. The tution fees is Rs.205000 which includes AC bus facility And for hostel Rs.235000 they provide Non-AC rooms and per room usually 4 members. They ask for exam fees for each semester usually it is nearly Rs.4000. They provide SC/ST scholarship which will be Rs.50000 per year they also provide first graduation scholarship it will be nearly Rs.15000 per year. They also provide campus training and internship basically the Stipend will be Rs.4500

Campus Life :

They conduct a cultural once in a year usually in the month of MARCH they call it "RECHARGE" it will be very nice. The range of books available in our library is very good and more than 35000 books are available in our library. The classrooms are smart classrooms. The sports here is very good they support you. Many clubs are available in REC. Enactus, Artistry, Entrepreneurship, etc

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facility here in REC is not that good. They provide only VEGETARIAN food in hostel mess as well as in college canteen. Hostel here is very affordable they charge you only Rs.30000 per year. The quality of food is also not that much good they have to improve it.

Hostel Fee : INR 30000 per year

Admission :

Eligibility of the course is just to study PHYSICS CHEMISTRY MATHS in Grade 12 and also diploma holders are also eligible. Application form are available on college campuses. They conduct internal exam 3 times in a semester usually 45 days once they conduct a internal exam they conduct a final end semester exam. Noting to improve in admission process as it is already very good.

Faculty :

In our department EEE there are nearly 500 students. For 500 students there are nearly 55 faculty which says that 11:100 is the faculty to students ratio. Most of the faculty in EEE department are PhD holders and they are very friendly in nature. We can approach them any time they will be very supportive for us. We can interact with teachers any time between college hours i.e(8:00-15:00)

Placement Experience:

Students starting placed from their last semester. Reputed companies gave an offer. Like tcs, Accenture, Infosys, etc. The highest package will be 60k and minimum 25k. 98% got placed before completing the degree. 55% above is the minimum for placement if you want to be placed in a high package of salary Job.

SASTRA College Life- An Amazing Experience

Admission:

I got the Admission in this college based on 12th marks and Jee main. i got Jee main score of 130 and 12th marks of 95%. so based on this they will ready a common Merit list and publish the All India ranks. based on your AIR , you will be called for counseling. You have to go to the SASTRA campus, on your allotted counselling date and time and Book the Branch of your choice. This is the Admission process

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course Curriculum is really good it's on par with Bits and Nit syllabus. It's well designed to both suit the students needs and also equip them well with the basic fundamental concepts which can further strengthen their core concepts knowledge . moreover , the syllabus is designed in such a way that it covers 85% of gate exam syllabus. so we can also appear for gate exam immediately after completing our course. The Exam structure is based on conceptual learning. one has to be well equipped with concepts in order to pass in the exams. We must not mug up at any point of time as SASTRA exams will test your concepts rather than ur memory capacity. It will have 3 Cia exams out of which the best 2 exam scores will be considered for internal assessment and then followed by final semester examination which consists of 100 marks out of which 50 will be considered for overall grading. This is the exam structure
