An honest review of MUJ after 1st year

Dislikes

  • Hostel is too crowded and gets really claustrophobic
  • Some faculties really just straight up sucks

Course Curriculum Overview :

I've only finished my first year so I can't really talk about the further curriculum but the curriculum of the first year was pretty doable and relevant to the real world. Exam difficulty was medium. There are two mid-term and two end-term examinations with lots of quizzes in between.

Placement Experience :

The placement of the college isn't that great but it's not bad either. Many students opt for higher studies and the rest who sit for placements also apply outside of the placement cell and get internships and jobs through it. The average for CSE will be around 7LPA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Any hike in College fees from last year to this year. I think it happens every 2-3 years. A hike in Hostel fees is probably happening every year with an increase of 10-20k. Financial aids are provided to students if you apply for them. If you are among the top students, they get a scholarship from the college. There's a startup cell to promote startups amongst the students.

Campus Life :

There are a lot of clubs which hold lots of fun events. Two major tech clubs who keeps hackathons, ideathon, workshops, etc. The library has almost all the Books and you can avail it from 9 am to 11 pm. Oneiros is held every year, it's a cultural fest and our major fest. A projector, Pc, and ac are provided in each classroom. Some classes are taken in an auditorium.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels are a bit overpriced according to me. For triple occupancy you're paying around 1.6LPA and mess fees was 71k. Mess is worth it. Mess food if we compare it with other PG's mess, it's way better and diveresed.

Admission :

You just have to get above 60% in 12th grade but to take admission in my course (CSE), you'll have to have a percentage above 90% and if you're giving MET, you'll get it if you have the rank under 15k. After the met, you're asked to go through a counseling process and then you're assigned the college.

Faculty :

Mostly, the faculties are good, there are some problematic Professors who will keep grudges against you and might try to act upon it by grading you less. Some faculty members aren't up to the mark and don't know how to teach in a classroom.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In the first category Specific aspect, I can't say anything I mean the course corrculam was prepared so good but the problem is in elective portion in which the students have no choices for choosing the subject. And next part timing of exams is overall good And level of paper is medium. But in some cases the problem occurs where the paper comes out of syllabus and the college one don't even give bonus marking

The only thing which is good about banasthali is their placement. The placement is good. Various companies come to the campus. And select students according to their priorities. I cam say the percentage of placement is 80% I'm not saying it about the whole banasthali. It's just about my department.

Placements are better here. Placement coordinators are there to help students. Management is so helpful. There are more than 50 companies that come to campus and take students as per their criteria. There are exams, aptitude tests, and interviews lined up for students.

Students become eligible for placements starting from the 4th year. You get an option to opt a semester for internship in 4th year and the other semester becomes your placement semester. Good known companies visit our campus and we proudly present a good placement rate every year including the recession time. My plan is to work in an IT firm after my college degree. 90-95 percent students get placed by the end of cycle, rest go for masters.

Placement Experience:

The average placement of the college can be concluded as 4-7 lpa. Mining being the creamy layer of the college With an average placement of 12-16 lpa and 100% placement is really phenomenal. Electrical engineering has recently performed very well with an astonishing 95% placement of students with an average of 6-7 lpa and 12,16 lpa being highest. Agricultural engineering is also an underrated branch of the college with 100% placement. Other branches like civil engineering and mechanical engineering are relatively not preferred by students due to bad professors and lack of good placement ratio
