  • Lot of fests, freshers, ceremonies are there which are really distracting for good learners.
  • Unavailability of girls hostel in KMC. Although boys hostel is there but KMC lacks a hostel for girls.

Course Curriculum Overview :

KMC works accordingly the guidelines of NEP 2020 and offers a wide range of courses with practical approach learning way. There are various facilities & options available in course selection procedure. A student hasn't any bindations while selecting their courses, they also get internships opportunity option while selecting courses.

Internships Opportunities :

KMC provides a lot of Internships opportunities such as Principal KMC Internship Scheme, Vice Chancellor Internship Scheme, Udhmodya Foundation Internship Scheme. These are college provided internships for students welfare.

Placement Experience :

KMC offers a perfect average placements rate. Some courses such as CS, Maths, Stats, Commerce and Eco get top placements, instead last year 2 students of Pol. Science also get placements. The average 1st placements is of around 0.7M which is really good from any government college with such affordable tuition fees. There are many companies such as Infosys, Sugar, Wipro, etc.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The courses are highly affordable with my course price is just at 12K per year. As KMC is a government college and hence the courses fee are highly affordable and appreciated. There is rarely any fee hike in courses fee. The other charges are only examination fee which is really affordable just at about 1K per semester exam. Fees are varying from course to course but generally the fees are less than 35K for any course. Even the highest fee for B.Com(H) is about approx. 30K.

Campus Life :

The college life in KMC is really fantastic as it offers a wide range of fun activities ranging from college vibes to DU North Campus vibes. Students can get free access to College Gym, Sports club, NCC, NSS. There are many festivals of different clubs occuring almost everyday. There are more than 30 clubs/societies in KMC which organises many fests every week.

Admission :

The admission is surely through the CSAS guidelines of University of Delhi through CUET-UG exams. The NTA conducts CUET-UG for UG admissions and UOD intakes on the basis of CUET score. Although the admission procedure is little lengthy but it's highly comfortable and student-friendly. Working staffs always ready to help students/candidates.

Faculty :

KMC provides a well & highly qualified professors with their expertise in the subject. We have some professors of having abroad degrees and some professors are there who left their highly reputed and paying government jobs. The range of interaction with the professors is really outstanding. Professors treat the students in a very gentle manner and also motivates them. The student-teacher ratio is fantastic with approx. 20-60 students per professor.

Students typically become eligible for campus placement in their final year, starting from the 5th or 6th semester. Several reputed companies visit Delhi university such as Times Of India, NDTV, Wipro, TCS and many more. The highest package for English hons graduates can range from 8-10 lakh per annum. Generally, 60-80% of the students gets placed. After getting the degree some students prepare for competitive exams like UGC-NET, UPSC etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I want to do civil services preparation that's why I chose the BA program. This course gives me insight and knowledge about all those subjects which are needed further. My classes start at 9:40 a.m. and end at 2-3 p.m. Overall, there is no need for improvement in teaching. All the teachers are good and helpful.

After 4th semester, students can sit for placements. One of the companies is ZS which selected 8 students. The highest package is 10 Lakh and the average is 6Lakhs. Almost 20% of students get placed. I want to pursue an MBA.

Third-year students are eligible for campus placement opportunities. Some of the companies that came to our college are PlanetSpark, RSVI, IDFC First Bank, FNP, Zoconut, etc. The highest package offered for our course is around 10LPA and the average package is 4-5LPA for positions like a translator, editor, content manager/creator, etc. However, the placement percentage of our college/course isn't that high. The average percentage of placement in our college is approx. 40%. My plan after completing the degree is to have a job alongside my Masters.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Choosing political science was more of my passion for going deep into the roots of society by knowing the technical know-hows of the polity as well. And yes this course is also a tool that aids students preparing for civils. So for me opting this was a mixture of both reasons. The student-faculty ratio if spoken about, approx 250 students in the dept. and there is a team of 10 teachers. So yeah it is 1:25 approx. If we talk about the qualifications, all the faculties here without exception are highly qualified. One gets to see a combination of professors, associate professors and assistant professors here. But all of them are well versed in the respective papers. The teaching method used by most of them is great and excellent, while for the remaining some of them it's up to the mark. Exams are taken by DU as the authority and the college just has to conduct them. So yes they're quite regular and on time. About passing them, I would say, the level here is moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

To prepare myself for civil services examinations, I chose the combination of history and political sciences in the BA Programme. The student ratio in my college is mostly male-dominated. But people come here from all the areas of the country, so it's 65:35. The faculty is great and knowledgeable and despite not much high-quality architecture, you will find the professors very intriguing. The term exams were according to the annual calendar released by the university and even if you seriously study for 15 days you can pass easily.

I am in the fifth semester and there is no student placed in my course yet because of that there is no highest lowest or average package to tell. There were companies offering internships but most of those were offering either content writing kind of internships or marketing internships I personally am not interested in any of those so I never tried for the internships.
