Exploring Dr D.Y. Patil college of engineering

The course curriculum is quite justified and alongside other things it also teaches us how to deal in pressure and how to handle the tough situations like a pro. Also, we have group projects at the end of every semester which teaches us leadership and how to work in teams.

The internship opportunities available in our college are many including the ones from Infosys, Barclays, tracelink, etc. in these internship opportunities various tests are conducted alongside some of the HR and technical rounds too.

Placements in our college are very good. Almost all of the students who are eligible for the placements are placed. There is a separate body for the placement work it's called the t and p cell. Training and placement cell, it provides the students with all the current in market placement opportunities.

The fee is very affordable when it is compared to other colleges of same level. Also you can pay your fee semester wise. College do have a scholarship program for the students who have scored very good marks in their class 12th and jee mains or MHTCET. There are various internship opportunities inside college campus only in the cell.

Campus life was no so great when I was in first year because our college never allowed us to take part in any of the club activities during the first year and the main focus was on academics. But as soon as we entered second year we were allowed to take part in all the club activities and everything. There are various clubs in our college, some are even national level and all the tech and non-tech are covered in these clubs. Some of the clubs also focus on the welfare work and social things.

The admission process was quite normal and there was no such hustle and problems, although there was a little bit of miscommunication between the staff and other members as they did not informed us correctly about the things such as college opening date and other things. The cutoff required was 90-92 percentile for Cs and decreasing from that for the other branches. The admission process can be done in two ways one is online through the college website and the other process is through the college where the teachers and staff will guide you about the admission process. Exams which you can give for the same are jee mains and mhtcet in which you need a specific given cutoff to clear the exam

Most of the faculty memebers are doctorates and have completed their P.hd in one field or another. Also the HOD is very cooperative and helps the students and others with all the insights and all the help required. The student to teacher ratio is not that great but all the students can go to teachers anytime whenever they want to go ask doubts.
