College Review

Dislikes

  • The sports facilities are not great, the ground is small and there is no sports room for table tennis and indoor games like badminton
  • The college doesn't provide for much facilities like lab.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is not up to date, btech students are thought EVs and Indian constitution in first & second semester, it's not even needed in the course, from 2nd year the course is really comprehensive and relevant, up to the mark so problem their also the faculty help you in understanding all the things

Internships Opportunities :

Internship opportunities are very less but it's not low, the college organises a internship fair for the students where students come and students apply for internship. Companies are coming and offering good amount of money to the students for internship but most of the students apply for off campus internship rather relying on college as there are less opportunities in on campus internship placement.

Placement Experience :

The on campus placement Is decent of our college it's not bad, the average package is of around 9lpa and median package of around 7-8 lpa, which is not bad considering the current job market, highest package offered last year was of 54 lpa, probably it was off campus but yes many students achieve that and teacher support you in that, percentage of student placed is around 70-80%.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The university provide scholarship for the economically backward students, also they give scholarships and laptops to top students from each batch, tuition fee is also adjustable it's not like you have to pay in one time you can get your application signed and deposit your fees after some time. The BTECH course is of 4 years and the total college fees is almost 6 to 7 lakhs in total excluding the hostel fees

Campus Life :

Campus Life is a little boring if you are not a part of any club like dancing, music or tech club, events are happening every month but they are not that great, Every year their are two fest one Technical fest and a cultural fest. There is a central library which give you access to almost every book you'll need during your 4 years course. The class room are not very advances also the labs are not very well equipped. There are a lot of clubs in the college and a lot of them are run and managed by students only with a mentor guiding the students

Admission :

The admission process is actually very smooth you get in the college through jee or exam conducted by the GGSIPU University, the cutoff of the courses is available on the college sites for the year 2023. The college have reservations for SC,ST,OBC students at the time of admission. There are several rounds conducted for admission process. Their is a reservation quota for delhi students of around 85% so it's quite hard for students to get into the college

Faculty :

Faculty to students ratio is not bad at all, it's good. Every faculty is available at almost everytime in the campus and after the campus you can even contact them through WhatsApp and all. They are very supportive and help you in almost everything. Each batch of students is given a mentor and students can get their problems solved by them

Placement Experience:

Placements at DTU are good, even in core branches, but students must have the necessary skills. At DTU, over 300 companies visit, offering decent packages. The highest packages can reach crores (of course, these are international packages). Some students also prefer to pursue master's degrees or MBAs after their degree. From the third year, students are eligible for on-campus internship opportunities, and in the fourth year, they are eligible for placements. It is definitely beneficial, but you must have skills and knowledge of your subjects. Strong communication skills are also essential.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to learn coding and that's why i chose btech in computer science at igdtuw. the curriculum is not designed from the perspective of preparing you for real-world application, instead it solely depends on what should be taught at a university based on the branch. the area of improvement could be removing the unrelated subjects in the first year of engineering because no one actually learns anything from that and instead, there should be related subjects. exams are held twice a semester, making it four times a year

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements in 6th semester . Many big companies visit the college and there are very big offers each year and even offers upto 1.5cr have been made . The average package for CSE is 18 lpa and almost all CSE students that opt for placement get placed . My plan is to pursue higher education after degree.

From the 5th semester, you are eligible to get an internship opportunity through campus. Big tech giants like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon come every year in our colleges. The highest international package is around 1crore+. 65-70% of college students are able to get placed

The college is known for its placements, it has great placement opportunities. The companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Atlassian, Uber, Walmart, Wipro, and many more visits the college for placements and offers more than 30 lacks package. The highest package offered to a student was 59. 45 lacks in the year 2021 and the average salary package was 19.15 lacks , the highest package was Google. The college provides internship opportunities as well and it gets started from the beginning of 3 Rd year of students, students in their 2 nd year also got internship opportunities. so almost all students get placed and if someone still does not get any placement so they have the opportunity to do higher study in Mtech. The college provides higher study options to students, this includes Mtech and Ph.D. courses and many more. So you can go to this college.

From the end of the 4th sem and starting of the 5th sem students can get internships easily they are eligible for placement just after the 3rd year many students get placement in the same companies they are interning in. Many companies visit the campus to take interviews n every year and give many offers to the students. The last highest offer was around 1.2 crores Nd average is around 25-30lakhs. College claims 100% of students get placed but the reality is actually around 90% get placement actually others. My plans after getting the degree will be to become the richest person in my family then in the world.

From 3rd year students are eligible for campus placements. Major companies include Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Swiggy, Sprinkler, Blackstone etc. A few years back,8 students from NSUT got a staggering package of 1.25 Crore from Google. The average package for tech branches is around 17-18 lakhs per annum. In tech branches, it has a humbling record of 100 percent placements approximately. As of now, I'll like to do my master from abroad after completing BTech from NSUT
