- I like the campus of Tezpur University and it’s infrastructure. It is a very nice place to study with greenery and everything is easily available in the campus itself and the university is very clean and maintains its campus beauty very well.
- The hostel are also very good of Tezpur University. The hostels provide 3 time meals breakfast, lunch and dinner. That too in a very minimal fees i.e. 2450 per month. The hostel has its own canteen also where we can have our evening snacks.
Dislikes
- The thing that I dislike the most is that the University is very far from the main town and we have to cross a village before reaching the University i.e. 11km(approx) from main town and there is no proper rate of fare to the University it depends 🕰
- The food that is provided in the mess of the hostel are very good but sometimes it is very bland or very salty or sometimes it will be the the same food for straight 3-4 days which is actually boring.
Course Curriculum Overview :
First of all I would like to say that my plan different but because of the the cutoff i had to choose this course because i had no other choice left. But honestly i don't regret my decision because in Tezpur University each and every course has it's unique importance in the real world. The course are given an overview in the beginning of the semester and there are total 4 exam i.e. 2 sessional 1 mid sem and 1 end sem. We get around 3 weeks between each exam.
Internships Opportunities :
We can apply for internships from 3th semester onwards and the university itself also send the students for internships after 5 th sem The University itself also has some internships but they are very limited and a very few students gets chance to apply and do so.
Placement Experience :
The students are able to sit for placements from the 6th sem itself Copany like Amul, Dabar, Nestle,etc had visited and had give many offers The highest package is around 24 lpa and average package is 6 lpa 80% students gets placements Getting a job
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The semseter fees for Btech is 26943 and for Btech (food technology & enginnering )it is 28143. The complete cost will be around 3-4 lakh including hostel fees. The University also provides scholarships for economically weak students and helps them financially. Government scholarships like ishan uday is available for students.
Campus Life :
There are many events that are organised in the University like insignis, cyberweek,ieee, etc The library has almost each and every book required by a student and it is not available physically the ebook is also available Every classroom has a projector and every department has a snart classroom The University also provides many sports activities and ut akso encourage the students to take part in the inter university tournament like AIU The group or clubs sometimes impact the students life due to exam pressure
Hostel Facilities :
I have a 2 seater room with 2 bed 2 tables 2 chairs 2 lights and a wardrobe and a cupboard and it has proper light and ventilation and a fan. And bathrooms are public bathrooms The food quality is good and there is a pretty decent variety of food The Registration is done with the course admission and some paper work is done in the hostel before getting the room The hostel fees is 2450 per month There are many rental apartments and PG near the University
Admission :
For Btech we must have to qualify JEE mains We can get the application form in the Tezpur University main website. Reservation benefits are there for reserved caste The exam are moderate to hard with a gap of 3 weeks between them. Admission process is very good don't need any correction
Faculty :
The faculties of Tezpur University are well qualified and are very good teachers too. They are very friendly with the students and they help the students with their experience. Most of the teachers are easily available in their chambers and they also provide mentorship to the students. The teachers are available anytime if you need help. And they are very supportive also.
