Course Curriculum Overview :

The college needs a lot of improvement in the course curriculum. The course subjects are good but some are not relevant to the software industry. Other than that everything is quite good labs, teachers.

Placement Experience :

At the end of the 3rd year many companies come to campus for pre campus drives, some students are chosen for future internships and again comes in 4th year for campus drives. Tech Mahindra,Wipro, Accenture, Western Digital, etc are the companies that comes to campus. The average package is around 6 to 7 lakhs. Highest was 19.15 lakhs

Campus Life :

Campus Life according to me is very good many cultural activities and fests are conducted here. Techfests are hosted by our college every year usually in the month of March. The library is good so many books are available. There are many clubs to choose for example Multimedia club, Robotics club, Music club, Dance club, etc.

Admission :

For the admission in NIST University you need above 75% in 12th, JEE or OJEE scorecard is necessary. Although in 2024 it is going to change, a admission entrance exam of NIST will be conducted. Application forms are available both online and offline. The application fees is around 10000.

Faculty :

The faculty members are good. Many of them are highly qualified. Although the faculty is good they rather focus in completing the syllabus. Teachers are very interactive in class and provide study materials to help students.

Placement Experience:

At our college, students usually start looking for jobs from the 6th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and others visit the campus to hire students. The number of job offers varies each year. The highest and average salaries depend on the company and the job roles they offer. Not all students might get placed, but the college tries to help as many as possible. As for me, after getting my degree, I'll probably look for a job that matches my skills and interests. If that doesn't work out, I might consider further studies or gaining more experience through internships.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario for now it not that good. There is regression going on so the companies aren't taking that many students. From the 3rd year you are eligible for placements. 450 companies came this year for placements making 5200 job offers. The highest placement this year was 63 lacs by Yugabyte. Average CTC is 8.5 lacs in all streams. Mass recruiters like Accenture, Cognizant, Capgemini, Mindtree, Bosch, Ericsson, IBM etc. Many other notable companies that visited are Bain & Company, CME group, DE shaw & co, JP Morgan Chase etc. According to kiit website, 90% students are placed. 2100 students also got internships via capstone route. My plans after getting the degree is to do a job for some years and then after getting some experience I want to do a startup.
