Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is still outdated as a first year. same maths physics chemistry will be taught. but some subjects like communication skills and mechatronics are really interesting. Yes, there are subjects the teachers but the most part is done by the students only and helped by teachers. There are midsems, endsems, quizzes and practicals. Exams are at higher to medium levels.

Internships Opportunities :

Internships are offered to students in the 5th semester. And 6th semester is for internships where students go for internships and the rest students for college projects. Projects are to be made by the students who are not interested in doing internships. But if you maintain good connections with your teachers teachers would refer you to some internships.

Placement Experience :

Ending of 4 th semester internships will be offered for the students and 6th semester is reserved for internships or projects. ppo's will be offered at the end of internships and placement will get started from the 7th semester onwards.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

94000 per semester as of now additional 84000 for the hostel and 3200-3900 mess fees monthly. Around 754000 excluding your hostel fees. Batch toppers scholarship, sc/st scholarship, female batch topper scholarship, MP state scholarship etc.

Campus Life :

Clubs are really great they provide you an environment to grow. Business growth is empowered in the students. the library is fully air conditioned and books are very well maintained. There are many student-run clubs like eic, robotics, drama, pe etc

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel is in ok condition. there are no air conditioners provided in your room. Only a fan is allowed. Food is good. Non-veg and veg are both made for students. menu changes weekly and season-wise.

Admission :

Jee main is an exam given for entrance to this college. Counselling through Jossa. fees of joasa vary from year to year. 50%seats are reserved for Chandigarh students and the other 50%is for other states. Other than that sc/st/ freedom fighter quota is also available in this college.

Faculty :

The faculty is highly qualified almost all the professors are phds and have published research papers. However, some professors are rude and not supportive of the students. You need to make a good connection with your teacher so that teachers can also support you. You can approach them in labs and classes but some professors like their privacy and do not distribute in their off time.

MBA students have 2 internships, one being chemical core internship, which is done after 3 year for 2 months which is not shifted to last semester of 4th year for 6 months. Apart from this, there is a 2 month internship for MBA part. Earlier it was 2 months but now it is, also 6 months in the last semester. MBA students gets their internships done, both paid and unpaid included. But for placements, that story is not so good.

The placements are just average. Companies come everyday or everyweek. Placement drive keeps running all time. Packages above 10 LPA have very very high competition. Courses have everything to crack a good package off campus. But students aren't studious they don't know anything they just blame the university

Here the average package is 8lpa. Students start to get placements in their 5th semester. Microsoft, accenture, infosis, ibm etc are the companies which often visits for placement. University also guides the student for higher studies such as MBA and mtech etc. It provides guidance through dcpd, a department of career planning in our college

Some students can get start getting internships offers from 5th semester and most of the students can get starts getting offers since the end og 6th semester. There almost more than 910+ companies that visit the campus with various offers which can be from new Startups to MNCs. Highest package offered was around 2 crore pa and the least being 5 lpa and average being 10-12 lpa. 70-80% students can get placed from the TPP(training and placement program) provided by the college by the end of 8th semester. I plan to get a job as a java developer at first proceed towards a carrier in cybersecurity.

For campus placement students can involve in 7th semester also many students got their PPOs in 6th semester as well. There are many reputed companies visited in PEC like Apple, Microsoft,Adobe,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Amazon etc.Highest package this year was around 58LPA on-campus while average of all branch turns into around 14.33LPA.Overall more than 50 percent students got placed in all batch while around 80 percent placed in CSE due to recession. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree or during my 4th year.

The placements in our college are quite good for my branch ( CSE ) but the mechanical and civil placement rate is very low only a few students sit for placement and are placed. Approx 80% of students placed in CSE, 70% in ECE, and 40% and 20% in mechanical and civil respectively. My plan is to go for a master's whether in india or abroad along with a part-time job.
