- First of all the campus enviornment is beautiful and the weather over there is pretty good while being in a forest area. The overall scenaries makes it comfortable to spend your 4 years peacefully.
- The buildings and their architectures are good , hostels are good enough with the space provided plus there's canteen in every hostel which makes sure you don't feel short of food till 12 pm.

- Well the college being a IIIT , makes it lack a bit culture where less fests at organised but still the students make sure things are active and are fun. So things actually happen but not on a very large scale still it's quite fun.
- Sports grounds are not available, there is a single ground which is somehow big enough to play all the sports but still there should have been one more ground as the space is there.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose the course according to my rank and after consulting seniors and others IIITDMJ was one of the best options available for me. I think the curriculum is a bit different than other NITs and colleges and I felt it was a bit hard as one needs to be dedicated to perform well enough. Well, one thing is there that there are class tests and sem exams every month so it just keeps coming one after another and you won't even realize when it's over. Overall I think it's alright but it depends upon faculty to faculty where they should be improved regarding their course.
Internships Opportunities :
As for internships, I don't have much idea as I have just completed my first year over here but still few friends of mine got the internship under professors of the college. Various interships are provided on ROBOTICS and AI, MATLAB natural language processing and etc.
Placement Experience :
After 6th sem, one is eligible for the campus placements. This year 2023-2024 placements were affected because of the recession and that was on the global level and every placement was affected throughout every college be it the IITs. The highest international package this year was 122 LPA from CSE while the domestic being 110 LPA from ECE. Percentage of students placed- 64%. Around 290 offers were there from the companies this year.
Fees and Financial Aid :
Well, there'll be information regarding the tution fee hikes on the official website of IIITDMJ so one can check that out and compare the fee from the previous year. Overall the fee is very high as it is a central government college so it's not high it's very moderate. There are no tution fees for SC/ST students and also scholarships are offered to students on a different basis. The total fee for a general student here for my batch is 740000 for the whole 4-year course without the mess fee.
Campus Life :
So the good part about the college is that even IIITDMJ has different clubs. The first is the sports club which has around 14 different sports and then there's the Cultural club which includes singing dancing writing drama and etc. Then there comes the technical club THE TPC which is very important and helps in finding your domain interests plus organises different contests and learning platforms along with Business management clubs and more such as racing club CAD and a lot.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostels are actually great and my friend is in MANIT BHOPAL and many others in other colleges and after looking at their hostel, my hostel actually has a lot of space to live in the rooms and more. Pretty much all the facilities are there, the cleaning is done once every week on Sunday and I am satisfied with the greenery and cleaning maintained. The mess is cheap and almost good enough to have the food. We have both the non-veg and veg provided so that's good. Also, there are shops on campus to fulfill your cravings for food other than mess.
Admission :
One needs to give JEE Main and the cutoff was my branch ECE in general rank was 16-23k. You can check out the cutoff for categories on websites or official Josaa counselling as one has to take part in it for the admission process. For SC/ST and PWD students, the reservations are made with no tution fee and even more.
Faculty :
Faculty is good at their thing at teaching and providing information in the classes but besides that, it's you who has to put effort into academics, can't be dependent upon faculty. It can be very hectic at times when the exams are near for the syllabus. The ratio of the faculty to the students is around 1:26, if you would talk about the main teachers and if including the TAs and others it's around 7:1. And it actually depends from person to person, some are good some not.
