Course Curriculum Overview :
The course design in IIIT Lucnkow is amazingly dsigned focusing on students getting knowledge and preparing for the placements. The course focuses on every important subject necessary in the industry. The academinc load is not that much, students find it much easier to get good grades which allows students to focus on many extra-curricular activities. Along with that there are subjects which help students to prepare for the placement season as our college is very much placement oriented.
Placement Experience :
The placements of our college are very good. The college has seen 100% for past years and the stats for the upcoming years are yet to come but we expect it to be in high 90s or even 100%. The average placement offer is around 30.52 LPA, median around 25 LPA and highest domestic offer being 59 LPA for B.Tech. For M.Tech placement stats are average 22.10 LPA, median 25 LPA and highest 45 LPA.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure is basically divided into academic fees and hostel+mess fees. If you dont opt for hostels you only have to pay academic fees which is 275000 per year roughly, mess fees is 30000 per year and hostel fees is divided into single seater - 40000, double seater- 20000, triple seater- 12000 and more than triple seater - 6000 per year. Talking about scholarship, there are many scholarships lurking around such as on state and national level. Next the placements here are outstanding averaging around 30.52 LPA for 2022-23 session which is expected to increase in upcoming time. Many top companies offer students placements such as Uber, D.E. Shaw, Google, Amazon, Walmart, Microsoft etc. be it on-campus or off-campus.
Campus Life :
The campus life is very engaging and entertaining. There many clubs covering many aspects such as dance, music, sports, literature, acting, drawing, entrepreneurial , economic and many other ascpects. There is a whole bunch of clubs focusing on technical skills too which are very active and has performed a central role in developing the coding culture of our college. The seniors are very helpful inside as well as outside the clubs. Aling with these we have 2 cultural fests and 1 sports fest every year. The sports infrastructure although not good enough but the students make the most out of it.
Hostel Facilities :
There is currently 1 hostel for boys and girls and dormetry for boys only. The quantity of hostel rooms is not much but the quality is very good. The hostels are very near to the admin block and classrooms which is rare in my opinion. This makes life a little easy. Talking about mess and their food, it is of decent quality. Compared to other colleges it is much better but nothing can match the taste of home cooked food. Some students prefer taking rooms on rent to avoid hostel life(I don't know why? hostel life is best) and take rooms in nearby apartments which are very near like 2-3 kms.
Admission :
The admission process is through JOSAA councelling, which had its cut-off for CRL somewhere around 6000 to 8000 depending on the branch in the year 2021. It usually changes every year. The admission process includes the complete process by JOSAA and then document verification after reaching the college. The document verification process requires a bit patience as it is a little tiring.
Faculty :
Faculty members are generally much qualified and they generally teach good. Faculties effectively use the online and offline mode as per the students request and requirements of the course. Also there are smart boards installed in every class. Talking about their qualification, it ranges from ex-DRDO scientist to Patron of UNESCO to IIT doctors, overall they are highly qualified. Also there is a system of visiting faculty which allows faculties from abroad which are immensely qualified to teach the students. The faculty-to-student ratio, is a somewhere around 1:8 which allows room for enough interaction with the faculty and focus on each student.
Other Applied Colleges
Delhi Technological University - [DTU] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
I got IIIT Lucknow which was better according to me. As i heard good about its coding culture.
