Insight Into the ARSD

  • Infrastructure is not that good and kind of old.
  • NIRF ranking is only for the show and probably doesn't even deserve NIRF 6

Course Curriculum Overview :

My course is Economic Honours, while being in school I really enjoyed learning economics and about the economy that's why I decided to choose this course, the curriculum is applicable to the real world as in my course we generally study the economy and the factors influencing it, exams are held twice a year or once a semester along with various internal assessment test, class test etc, generally the difficulty level is high and I'll consider this course to be tough.

Internships Opportunities :

There are various companies that visit the campus and offers internship, they are generally for the roles or sales intern, marketing intera, social media intern, research intern etc. the stipends offered depends on the company and the role generally it can range between 5000 - 150000.

Placement Experience :

There are decent campus placement opportunities in my college, as the placement cell members are approaching various companies, students from 3rd year can only get places and students from all years can apply for intership. There are various companies like Accenture, Deloitte, KPMG, etc that offers placement opportunities. The percentage of students getting placement depends on the requirements of the company and the skills of the students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fee structure is really simple, you have to pay around Rs15000 for a year and your undergraduation will be completed in less then Rs 50000, however this is only applicable if you're from Delhi, if you're from places others than delhi then the cost of living is considerably high, in my case it's about 2,75,000 a year. Scholarship are available for the students upto the amount of their tution fees.

Campus Life :

The overall campus life is good, there are various fests being organised in the month of February and March in which anyone can join after some sort of registration, there are various sports and extracurricular activities that are offered to the students.

Admission :

For admission in Delhi university you must appear in the CUET, For my course specifically i.e. economics honours you must have Standard Maths, General test, and a combination of two other domain subjects from your stream, all of the students who have maths can apply for this course even if they are from science or arts background. Generally the cutoffs are really high and you must prepare very hard if you don't have any reservations applicable to you.

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio is low, particularly in my class there are around 55-60 students to a professor. The faculty is highly qualified and their methods of teaching are really effective. Approachability depends on the teachers, some teachers are not that interactive, while others are like your friends.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course was good for me as I'm preparing for the upsc civil service examination so political science helped me a lot in my optional subject. Through my curriculum I got to know many theories and approaches that we can see in our daily lives and as I just said I want to go into bureaucracy so it is helpful for me. There is no improvement needed as such because my professors were actually so good. We used to have monthly tests for our internal and semester examinations which were on average neither easy nor difficult.

Placement Experience:

From last semester students become eligible for campus placements. There is below average placement in this college. Students almost opt for higher studies. But still there are many companies which visits but they offered on an average 3 lakh per annum package. Only 20% students got placement and rest of them opted for higher studies. My plan was clear at that time to go for research in economics

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have been a lover of English as long as I can imagine. Being in Miranda only brings me closer to my beloved, as each one of my professors only seem to strengthen my affection of the language and for the literature it offers. It teaches you in abundance about how the world used to work and how it works today. One who studies english shall never ever fail to navigate their way through life. Considering the examination, if you have it in you to look at things beyond their exterior, you'll ace this subject. Though, I must state that being a subject course, it takes a little more than "one to two days before exam studies" to score a CGPA higher than 8.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As we can see , teaching method depends on old teaching that is reading and writing, professor comes and read the paragraph of the book and meanwhile students are noted it down...while some teachers prefers to practical learning other than this. The course that is selected by the students having career itself but we have to take notice that it's matter of opportunity gives to them.

See In our Admissions process We get to See many changes in the Admissions process and then the Education process like implement of New Education Policy 2020 which makes us deal with so many subject which are 7 in number and but talking about my college the teaching methods of the faculty members mainly based on the orally explaining the things or teaching through visuals like PPT which some How help us to understand the in a good and proper way. Talking about Curriculum through NEP2020 it give exposure to learn the different different subject according to our wishes and it also help ua that we are not only engage with one subject we are learning many thing from one places so I am happy with Curriculum and faculty members of my college.

Third-year students are eligible for campus placement opportunities. Some of the companies that came to our college are PlanetSpark, RSVI, IDFC First Bank, FNP, Zoconut, etc. The highest package offered for our course is around 10LPA and the average package is 4-5LPA for positions like a translator, editor, content manager/creator, etc. However, the placement percentage of our college/course isn't that high. The average percentage of placement in our college is approx. 40%. My plan after completing the degree is to have a job alongside my Masters.
