Dislikes

  • Prevalent drug and hook-up culture amongst the students.
  • Lack of professional/field exposure and relying mostly on old school bookish norms

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose architecture because I wanted to build great buildings. The curriculum was mostly fancy and outlandish that involved projects that were not fit for Real world applications. The work that an architect receives on average were mainly focused in third and fourth year. Other than that it was either Grand projects or projects that were not for Real world applications. The pacing of the curriculum was very fast and the saw majority of students were not able to finish their projects by time. There semester exams and and project submissions mid semester. Difficulty level was above average.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I guess the fee was too much for the services and quality they provided. Tuition fee was not increased but admission fee was increased every year for news students. Re examination fee were increased without informing the students. Complete cost of my education was almost around 10 lakhs.

Campus Life :

Our college in the city throws a big party every year that mixes learning with fun. It's a time when we show off our skills in things like robots and art, and everyone gets involved. The festival is all about celebrating life, culture, and learning new stuff. Our library is full of books and journals that are easy to get to and help us with our studies and hobbies. We have good grades and lots of sports and activities to try out. Whether you like sports, arts, or helping out in the community, there's something for you. We also have clubs where you can learn cool things like starting a business, taking photos, or debating. Our college is a great place to learn and have fun with friends.

Admission :

Choosing PCM in your 11th and 12th and getting above 60% in exams were the eligibility for the scores. Application forms application fees and application dates can be found on the universities website. The admission was quick and Smooth.

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio per subject was 1 to 40. The faculties were graduates and post graduates. Teachers were usually always available and approachable for doubts or extra sessions. Some of the faculties were really great but others were below average. Hence lacking consistency in there faculty.

Interview Experience :

The test your inside about the subject for the course that you are going to Undertake. The interview is easy if you are confident. The process is to arrive at the admission cell ask for the form fill it and give it to them then wait for your interview or get allocated with the date when your interview will be held.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The most difficult situation that a student will face in architecture is taking a 6 hour architectural design paper with no breaks what so ever. The degree is itself is quite hectic and no matter how much you manage it, sleepless nights before submission awaits you. Plus, you will have 3-4 submissions every week.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose architecture because it is very creative and we could express our feelings though it. It provides us the understanding of various things like how a building structure formed and how it works ,how we should prevent a building from falling in natural disaster etc

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very old and outdated. They are still making assignments on cartridge sheets. I would suggest the incorporation of modern technologies like CAD, Photoshop, etc. from the first semester only. We are learning bookish knowledge but not getting any hands-on practice or observing practical work on-site.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The terms were on time mostly and it was easy to pass if we were attending lectures and assignments on time as it is a practical based course rather than much based on theory. The teachers were helpful in most of the scenarios but some subjects were not handled properly as the faculty teaching it used to keep changing. Rest mostly all of the teachers were good.

Remarks:

No reason at all. Faculty was nice at first but not anymore. The only good thing maybe it has big gardens. But nothing else at all. Very partial. Attendance is a burden here.
