The life as a Shardain.

Remarks :

Architecture is one of the number 1 courses in Sharda but, to be honest, in my 5th year of the course I can find it degrading now. we have to give NATA exam for admission and achieve at least a passing mark which is the minimum criteria for getting admission. If selected we have to go through an online interview. Application forms are floated online it happens usually after the 12th results are published. For merit students, there is a facility of scholarship.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Buildings and structures have always fascinated me since a child. so I always dreamed to design such structures which led me to choose this course. the faculty-student ratio used to be 1:4 before but now it's 1:10 the faculties and gradually left the college in the past year. Sharda has just been appointing full-time faculty for now due to which the number has decreased. we have 2 exams a semester i.e in 6 months. the exams are course based so it is not that difficult to pass if the course is understood.

Placement Experience :

For architecture, course placements are not provided during the course time but only after completion of the course. But for other courses like Computer science, Civil, and Business Administration placement exams are conducted by the college during their last semester. 90% of students receive placements in most of the courses. After I get my degree I will be working for about 1 year then I will go for master

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee for a national student per annum is 2lakh tuition plus examination, and registration of 10 thousand. International students have different fee structures. In the first year scholarship is given based on 11, or 12 grade marks and to continue with a scholarship one has to continue getting good grades each semester. The hostel fee increases by 5 thousand every year. the college is quite expensive in comparison to other architecture colleges.

Campus Life :

The ininininfrastructure library is well equipped with most of the necessary books. the classroom has study friendly environment with good in. many clubs are there run by students that conduct programs on campus.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel block is well planned with courtyards and social gathering spaces. the rooms are also good and well ventilated. But the hostel meal has to be improved a lot. The mess hygiene also is of poor quality. For hotel booking, one has to pay the hostel fee for their desired room plus a security deposit of 10 thousand.
