DEI Agra Admission Dates 2026

Admissions to DEI Agra for the 2026-27 academic session are anchored by national entrance examinations including CUET UG, JEE Main, NATA, and NEET UG. The application portal opened on 10 June 2026 and closed in early August 2026. Merit lists and counselling are currently in progress across programme families.

The course-wise entrance examination requirements for the 2026-27 cycle are listed below. DEI also conducts its own entrance examination for select programmes not covered by centralised national tests.

DEI Agra Courses and Fees

DEI Agra offers over 100 programmes spanning engineering, architecture, homeopathy, sciences, humanities, commerce, management, education, fine arts, agriculture, and vocational studies. Being run by the Dayalbagh Educational Society, the institute maintains an exceptional low-fee structure across all programmes, making higher education accessible regardless of family income background.

Notable specialisations include Footwear Technology under B.Tech, a distinct offering aligned with Agra’s established leather and footwear industry, and Agricultural Engineering, which draws on the working farm ecosystem within the Dayalbagh campus. DEI Agra Admission Process

DEI Agra follows a merit-based admission process with no management quota seats. All admissions are through declared merit lists based on national entrance examination scores or DEI’s own entrance tests. CUET UG and CUET PG are the primary gateways for humanities, science, and commerce programmes.

B.Tech Admission

Eligibility for B.Tech requires a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The selection process follows these stages:

• Apply on the DEI Admissions portal and upload 10+2 marksheet

B.Arch and BHMS Admission

BHMS eligibility requires 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with at least 50% aggregate for general category and a valid NEET UG score. BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, BFA, and B.Ed Admission

Arts, commerce, and science UG admissions are primarily based on CUET UG scores in relevant domain subjects. B.Sc Agriculture and Honours programmes require a minimum of 50% in PCB or PCM respectively. For BFA, DEI conducts its own entrance test assessing drawing skills and subject aptitude. B.Ed eligibility requires graduation with 50% aggregate in any discipline.

MBA and PG Admission

MBA eligibility requires a three-year graduation with at least 50% aggregate in any discipline. M.Tech requires a relevant B.Tech or B.E. with 55% aggregate and a valid GATE score. M.Sc programmes require B.Sc with 50% in the relevant subject. All PG admissions follow CUET PG merit or DEI entrance test performance.

Ph.D. Admission

Ph.D. candidates must hold a postgraduation with at least 55% marks in the relevant discipline. Selection involves a written entrance test followed by a departmental interview. Candidates with a valid UGC-NET or CSIR-NET score may be exempted from the written stage subject to departmental rules.

As per NIRF 2025 data, 458 UG students and 249 PG students secured placements from DEI in the 2024-25 placement season. The B.Tech programme reports a median package of INR 5.07 LPA for four-year graduates. M.Tech graduates recorded a median of INR 6.8 LPA. The highest package offered has reached INR 12 LPA.

DEI Agra Scholarships

DEI Agra students are eligible for central government scholarship schemes administered through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP), as well as UGC and AICTE fellowship programmes for postgraduate and doctoral students. DEI Agra Campus and Infrastructure

DEI Agra occupies a 75-acre campus within the Dayalbagh colony, 5 km north-east of Agra city centre. The campus is integrated within the larger Dayalbagh self-sustaining township, which includes operational farms, dairies, manufacturing workshops, and residential areas. This setup gives students hands-on exposure to live agricultural and industrial environments as part of their regular academic experience.

The campus houses dedicated faculty buildings for Engineering, Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Management, Education, Architecture, Fine Arts, and Homeopathy. The central library holds over two lakh books, journals, and periodicals, supplemented by digital resources through INFLIBNET.
