- There is dearth of sports facilities. We don't have a dedicated indoor sports facility yet.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I took this particular coise because it uniqueness. There are very few colleges in India that have Mechatronics branch. The curriculum consists of subjects from mechanical, electronics and computer science with mechanical being more dominant. It also focuses on AI and automation. The curriculum is updated with current real world situation. There are 2 exams in a semester namely mid semester and end semester and also practicals before end semester. The exams are not very difficult and some subjects have questions from previous year too.
Internships Opportunities :
The intership opportunity depend on one's own skill. Students of our college have received intership from companies like Amazon, Microsoft etc. Students start getting intership from 2nd yera onwards. Many students have received research internships in premier institutes like IIT, IIM and even foreign universities.
Placement Experience :
The placements in the college are good with an average of around 11-12 in 2024 which a decrease from previous year due to IT recession. The placement percentage was around 70% this year. The highest placement (PPO) was around 85 lpa for this year which was received by two students from 3rd year. Companies start coming for placement from 3rd year onwards. While for internships companies visit college for 3rd year but most of the students start getting it from 2nd year.
Fees and Financial Aid :
The fee structure for the entire course will be provided at the time of admission and it will be followed, there won't be any changes in that. There might be increment in hostel and mess fee. The total fee including hostel and mess is around 13 lakhs which is quite expensive considering its a central gov college. There are no scholarships or financial aid provided by the college for any category based on income or cast. Students can avail the various scholarships provided by the gov and private organisations and the college will help with it.
Campus Life :
The annual techno-cultural fest of the college is Enyugma. It is typically held around November. The cultural and technical clubs are active with regular sessions. The sports facility for outdoor sports are adequate while for indoors we don't have a dedicated indoor sports facility yet. All the classrooms have AC and labs equipments are sufficient for the academics. The library has adequate books for the course. The new library is under construction and will be completed in 3-4 months. There is ewlfare society namely Unnati run by the students that provides digital knowledge to underprivileged children.
Admission :
The admission for B.tech in the college is through jee mains and it follows the reservation criteria as set by the central government. There are no state quota or reservation based on domicile. The current cut-off is around 70k rank for Mechatronics for general category.
Faculty :
The student to faculty ratio is optimal for smooth flow of academics. All the faculties are PhDs and most them are from IITs. Faculties in Mechatronics branch are a bit strict when compared those in other branches. Most them are approachable if approached in an appropriate manner. The academics are not very tough overall.
