CCET EEE Branch Review

Dislikes

  • The principal was not a good person and almost everyone in the college including the teachers disliked him

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is fairly tough compared to other btech courses and there are some subjects which does not have any real world uses , its really tough to learn those subjects. And there some subjects which are really really useful in real world and you'll learn a lot of things which you can use to help yourself and others. You can learn about the working of EV's which is really the main reason why i chose this course. The internal exams are conducted fairly and at the correct times.

Internships Opportunities :

So internships are suggested by the faculty and you can choose if you want to go there. I went on a separate internship at KSEB where it was really really useful. There are 2-3 mini projects during the course and one final year project. These really require our dedication and hard work to be completed and it will improve our real world knowledge of electrical things

Placement Experience :

So placements are not at all good at this college and not enough companies especially looking for eee students come here. The annual package the companies offer are also very low with a maximum of 4lpa to a minimum of 2 lpa. Companies like sutherland are one of the mass recruiters from the college. I plan to study further after i complete my degree

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

So the year i joined (2020) had a fee reduction due to covid . I had a semester fee of 20500. I think it might have increased now. If youre staying in the hostel or taking the college bus you'll have to pay additional fees for that. Really good scholarships are available in the college if you perfom really well academically. The fee amount will be reduced drastically according to your performance in the semester exams. The campus employet is not at all good at this college especially for the EEE students. Most of the companies employ CS students and eee students are also attending the cs placements because not enough eee companies come here.

Campus Life :

So extra curricular activities are there not it is not promoted very highly. There are annual events like SPARKZ which is national level technical festival. You'll spend days together with you classmates to organise and conduct these kinds of events which is really fun. The library is also quite okay if you want some privacy and to study. There's also computers available in the library with internet connection in case you want to use that.

Admission :

I got the admission for the college because i cleared the KEAM exam. It is fairly simple to pass the exam and you can apply for admission to ccet if you passed keam. You apply for the vollege either by going to the college or online. According to your keam marks you can enter either on mangement quota or merit quota. The admission process is managed by the faculty and it is done fairly easily and in a simple way.

Faculty :

The faculty was one of the only good things in the college. They were really nice and friendly with the students. Ofcourse your experience might get bad if you get on their bad side somehow. They really helped me however they could and some of the faculties are really overqualified to tech there. All the teachers almost knows the whole EEE syllabus which is a good thing as you can ask your doubts to anyone.

Students who have completed their sixth semester can start their placements. Infosys, Wipro,TCS, digitalcore, USTGlobal , Sutherland, Accenture etc had taken placements from last years. The average package starts from 120000 lpa and highest was 700000lpa. This year itself more than 800 students was placed in different companies. So I also tend to prepare for campus placements for my final year
