MS Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences: FULL REVIEW (HOSTEL, COLLEGE, CURFEW, SOCIAL LIFE AND FESTS, FACILITY)

Dislikes

  • Many internships and seminar opportunities offered are off campus. It is difficult for hostel students to attend.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Curriculum is very relevant and advanced, with application based environment. Mathematics and computing has topic raging from cyber security, data analysis and machine learning to business analysis and financial statistics too. We are even compulsory made to sit for EVS, English, kannada, law and ethics classes for all round development.

Internships Opportunities :

AMD - offered 54 lpa, student went for higher studies. IBM - 17 lpa offer to students already doing interns with them. GSK - 14 lpa to fresh recruits. The projects were heavily based on type of role. For example, AMD role was based on good AI/ML concepts and projects. But GSK role was based on data analysis, if different types of data in the most efficient way.

Placement Experience :

Placements are very good. The local off campus placement environment is good too as exposure in Bengaluru is very high. Many students refuse placements of more that 40lpa, just because of many student from our college, scholarships and offers to study in higher and better international institutions.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fee structure is considered able seeing the quality education, and there is no fees hike. They take admissions without donation and I had to pay 350000 for B.Tech with 130000 for hostel. The scholarship opportunities are IMMENSE. They offer scholarships based on high school marks, sports, any many other aspects.

Campus Life :

The college social life is very good, with events every tri monthly. And our college also takes part in other intra-college fests. The clubs here are also very active. Being a selective and less populated college, the seniors and juniors get to interact a lot and learn from each other.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facility are good, with personal washrooms and daily housekeeping. The mess incharge was also recently changed, so the food also is now with both north Indian and south Indian food. We also have three canteens here, which are open all says of the week till 9 at night. Only problem is some curfews, like not going out of hostel after 9 or morning gates open at 6. Other than that, it's also affordable with the quality meals they provide. We get food three times a day. Breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner.

Admission :

Application process was applying online, then my father visited college himself to complete the paperwork. The payment was also done online. The exam they took was through comedk and they also consider high school marks. No reservation present and it is solely merit based admission.

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio is excellent. The classes have less amount of students, minimum 16 to maximum 80. And each classes has a different teacher, even if the subject is same. For 4 B.Tech classes, all classes have separate teacher for math's, and physics, so on and so forth. Another good thing are assignments given. On a personal note, they are exceptionally well written and researched. Student has to spend day in the library with multiple sources to be able to find the solutions.
