ABES Engineering College (A pretty considerable college for UP students mainly)

Dislikes

  • School like class - culture (could be a positive point for you)
  • Hostel facilities are not up to the standards as per charges

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum includes basic knowledge of numerous fields like electronics, electrical, physics, chemistry, with advance concepts of problem solving and other Computer Science subjects. This curriculum would allow me to further compete in GATE exam to pursue masters degree.

Placement Experience :

Placement drive starts for students 3rd year onwards. Course curriculum is very placement oriented including special weekly classes like problem solving, soft skills, etc. Up to last year year there was 200% placement for CSE branches (students with multiple offers) for companies like Amazon, Atlassian, Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, etc., However there has been a decline in percentage for this year following the worldwide recession.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Currently the academic fees is 1,28,600 (1,39,000 for first year including miscellaneous charges like security, uniform, etc.) and did not increased any for the past two year although the hostel fees has been increased by a descent amount (15,000 - 20,000 ). Students can also avail government scholarship schemes as per the criteria.

Campus Life :

The main annual college event is GENRO which is quite awesome. Apart from that numerous events are organized throughout the year like Tech-pravah, etc. There is a wide range of cultural and technical student clubs in college in which you may enroll. Sports events are also organized annually like 'Utsaah' in which Inter - branch competition are held and prizes are distributed.

Admission :

For direct admission in computer science related branches, the college expects 90% - 95% in PCM in class 12th. For admission through counselling, you have to enroll in UPTAC counselling which is based on JEE mains score. For CSE core branch expected cutoff is at least 85 - 90 percentile or 1,30,000 CRL.

Faculty :

More than adequate staff for students. Teachers are quite friendly and supportive to the students. Faculties are available to the students during and even after college hours for academic support. A dedicated mentor is allotted to a group of students (4-5) for academic helps throughout the year.

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semester, students can start getting placement if they had done an internship with any company. Otherwise, in the 7th and 8th semesters, most of the students get the placement. Many renowned companies come and offer jobs in college. About 70 percent of the students get the placement.

Placement Experience:

More specifically if I am talking about placement is that if you want to get good placements in dei that you must maintain your sgpa at least 8 points for you to appear in the placement cell. There are many companies visited in college like torrent power for electrical branch and other for their respective branches. Around 60% of students get their placements through college and it also depends on students' ability and skills. Since I am in the 4th semester so yes from 3rd year students get their training or internship through college to students with good grades. So you must have to maintain at least 8 sgpa for better placements.

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college have been great so far. All the major companies and tech giants like Google, Microsoft, Adobe, AWS, DELL, etc came for placements this year. The average package this year for BTECH students was 8.6 lakhs per annum. Also, the highest package so far has been 44 lakhs p.a. Almost all students are placed with good packages so it is an ideal choice to choose Bennett University for higher education.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in GCET, Although they vary from time to time. For placements, students are eligible from the 7th Sem. Companies like Direct-I, Samsung, Amazon, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, TCS, etc. all visited the campus. The highest package I now am 21LPA buy it can be more. And except recession 60-70%, people are placed. Rest it all depends on students as well.
