Course Curriculum Overview :
The Branch you are taking as your major mainly decides which course you are going to study during your B.tech but in IITs seeing the new developments and research we have the options of choosing the courses from other departments in form of open electives and yes here there is so much learning that comes from your college peers and learn much more from them. The development I see can be done in the areas where we are still getting taught the subjects that are not relevant in today's world and the teaching methods can be made more interactive by having a relaxed grading format and good competition among students. The exams are mainly held two times a semester like one as Midterms and other as Endterm and in between we get the Quizzes and Lab exams.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For me and my family the fees is a big trouble most of the time as it is a huge amount for a middle class , the amount is like approx 1.3 Lacs a semester and your pocket money during the stay in campus . The complete cost may vary between 9 to 10 Lacs for Candidates having family income greater than 5 Lacs. The scholarships are there any most of them are family income based like govt itself provides relaxation in fees if income of family is less than 5Lacs. I am not under any responsibility as of now my parents are taking care of my education.
Campus Life :
The Campus life at IITs are far far better than any other type of colleges in India. Like the Campus is such a great thing you enjoy your 4 years of stay here with exploration of new heights . The Fests are: 1. Sports Fest - Spardha 2.Technical Fest - Technex 3.Cultural Fest - Kashiyatra. Generally all of them are of 3 days and students from various colleges comes and participate in various events and 3 days are full of fun. The Club Culture of IIT BHU is great like here you will get club of every hobby that you can think of and though clubs people learns and performs better in the Inter-IIT competitions.
Admission :
To get into an IIT : 1. Clear JEE Mains and achieve a good percentile. 2.Qualify JEE Advanced 3.Apply through Jossa and get a seat based on your AIR. The application fess is nominal for mains and it is approx 2800 for the jee advanced. There is benifits of reservations in IITs for Gen Ews /Obc/sc/st/ pwd.
Faculty :
The faculty to student ratio is okayish like every other IITs and talking about classes so it is quite a good experience to take class provided professor is of your vibe. The Faculty of IITs all are PhD from reputed colleges across the globe and they have understanding of their core research areas. Most of them are friendly if you are following their course structure and you have good attendance.
