Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum of pharmacy follows PCI guidelines. According to me the frequency of exam is very high per the curriculum, we have to go through Internal assessment every month, which become very hectic for a student. The difficulty level of exam is managable here.

Internships Opportunities :

In B. pharma doing an internship is a necessity for fetching you a degree. If you want to do an internship in a big company like sun pharma, Himalaya, or Cipla you must have some connection there. though our college provides a road map for doing an internship in Baddi, Himachal which is known as the hub for the pharmaceutical industry. There you have to spend your own money on accommodation, traveling and food. Otherwise, you can do an internship on your search basis, it can be in the near hospital that is BATRA, or Okhla phase 2, or ARBRO in Kirti Nagar, the internship can be clinical as well as industrial. whereas mostly no stipend is provided to the B.pharm students.

Placement Experience :

After completing B.pharm placements are very bad I would say. Students here prefer to do M.pharma after B.pharma for better job opportunities. SUN PHARMA, DR. REDDY, AIMIL, etc have visited our university offering an average package of 5 to 6 lakh per annum to the M.pharm students. Most students prefer placements after an M.pharma, B. pharm student has much scope to go for academics by pursuing an M.pharma, most of them go for an MBA, and many work as chemists in hospitals. For admission to M.pharma, students take competitive exams like the GPAT, NIPER, and PHARMACY GATE. I plan to go for an MBA in pharmaceuticals.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Many students whose parent's annual salary is up to 8 lakh apply for the national scholarship portal, in which they get a concession of 7% from the overall fees. Many other scholarships are named as 1. Hakim Abdul Hamid scholarship 2. some scholarships only for girls I have seen many of my professors are from Jamia Hamdard itself, they provide some edge to the internals in case of campus employment. I don't have much idea about campus employment.

Campus Life :

There are many events and fests held by each department of our university, mostly in October and November. and the fest is very enjoyable having food trucks, music, dance, and a variety of swings, many Indian idol contestants come for their performance in the fest. A variety of books are available in the central library building. and additionally, each department has its own library. Smart boards and projectors are available for a better understanding of the students. Annual Sports Week is celebrated every year in February which is very engaging and interesting. There is a basketball court and a big cricket ground and badminton and tennis court as well. There are many societies in our college named as 1. EPOCH SOCIETY (it is in Delhi University as well), literary club, Girl Up (national level club), Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, IGNITE SOCIETY, Jamia Hamdard, GOOGLE CROWD SOURCE, TEZO, SHAMROCK( ECOCLUB)

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel fees are taken every 6 months and the fees are different for AC and NON AC rooms. around 60000. The meal provided is good but the repetition of the same food over the years, makes it boring. You can register on a Google form for the hostel on the official website of Jamia Hamdard. and rooms will be allocated for the same. There are many pgs nearby in GALI NO. 36, in which many students live for almost 8500/ per month.

Admission :

ELIGIBILITY: 12TH PASS IN EITHER PCB or PCM with 50% marks. The one who has qualified for NEET or JEE is given an edge and preference over other students. You can find the application form on the official website of Jamia Hamdard. Few seats are reserved for Muslim women other than the SC/ST Reservation. In this course every semester we give 1. first sessional ( internal assessment) 2. second sessional ( internal assessment) 3. third sessional (students who were absent or failed in 1st and 2nd sessional) 4. End semesters For enrolling in this programme your NEET or JEE score is enough no need to give the entrance paper few students seats are sponsored and NRIs as well.

Faculty :

when discussing the pharmacy department, it is notable that the faculty members here are highly qualified and diligent. The student- teacher ratio is commendable, with 5-6 subject expert for each subject. The instructors exihibit a high level of interactivity, humility, and composure, facilitating easy interaction for addressing doubts and providing suggestion

Other Applied Colleges

ignou | bachelors of biochemistry

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of bachelor of pharmacy (B pharm) program at Delhi institute of pharmaceutical science and research (DIPSAR) is generally well structured and has its strength but also has some aspects which need improvement. It offers solid foundation for pharmaceutical sciences, blending the theoretical and practical aspects. I chose dipsar because of its well known reputation, good faculty and their take on real world application on what's taught in class

Overall it is a very good institution in the field of pharmacy, one of the top institutions and a very old name. You go in the professional industry and mention the name of DIPSAR, it's more like a brand name.
