BIT MESRA college review.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The coarse and curriculum is on par with various IIT'S and NIT'S. The difficulty level of the college papers are good and are very useful for the students. I would just suggest to remove the branch change option so that the students can study their core subjects from first year itself.

Internships Opportunities :

The companies offer in campus internships to the students and the highest offer made is of 2 lakh rupees. Many good companies visit the college inorder to give offers to the students. And the internships can taken after 3rd year.

Placement Experience :

From third year students can take up internships and from fourth year the students are eligible to sit in campus placements. All the internships and placements are in campus. And a average package of 13 lakhs is maintained in college. The average for branches like cse and AI are high like 19 lakhs. Ahd the highest package is 58.5 lakhs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees of the college is little higher when compared to other colleges. It would cost you nearly 17 lakhs to complete your btech at BIT MESRA. But scholarships are also provided but based on merit only. Various companies also visit to provide scholar ships to the students.

Campus Life :

There are many clubs of which the students can be part of and enhance their Co-curicullar activities. The seniors are very supportive. The college has projectors and the classrooms are equiped with AC's. There are many good machines and a the college also has a super computer. Sports activities are also very good.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels are provided for the students. The girls hostel is separate from that of boys and there in time for girls and the boys are not restricted. The hostel rent is 20000 for one semester. The mess food is average as you expect in a mess.

Admission :

You need to get a good score in the JEE MAINS examination which is conducted pan India. Your score must be above 92 percentile if you want to enter this college whereas for top branches a score above 97.5 percentile is required. The reservation process is followed as usual. There state reservations for students of Jharkhand.

Faculty :

The faculty members are excellent. They are very much experienced and friendly with the students. Many facultiy members are like friends with the students. The way of their teaching is very unique and is understandable by the students.

The placements are declining day by day. In 2022 the average package was around 14lpa and highest was 56lpa but after that it has decreased significantly. Percentage of students have also declined . In ECE around 80% students get placed with an average package of 11lpa . Companies like Nvidia do visit the campus.

After the completion of 3 rd years, students are eligible for placement. About 10 companies came when I was there and they don't have soo many offers. The highest package of 10 lakh waa given to our best student in computer science the average package was 5-6 lakh that's the average package of most colleges here it is the same. The placements of students were quite average about 70 % cause most of the students get diverted. I planned to go in some other field apart from engineering.
