College starts by 8.30 and gets over by 4.30 and then we have to be here until 5.30 for our placement classes
No festival celebrations such as onam ,pongal and diwali as ither colleges

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculam followed by the amcs department of psg college of technology is one of the toughest when compared with the other colleges and other courses .We have two internships while studying which helps us to gain more knowledge about the it environment,and gives us more knowledge of how a company works

Internships Opportunities :

kla , jpmorgan ,zerodown, datagenie, foxsense and many other startup companies provide internship ,Since we have go to internship for 7 and 10 semester.kla gives the maximum stipend of 1.5 lakhs and minimum stipend is 20,000.So oppurtunies are available we must make use of it wisely.

Placement Experience :

We have 2 internships and then the final placements.Top companies like jp morgan ,datagenie ,zerodown,kla and several other startups come for internships .The internships companies where we get placed also provides us pre placement offer where after completing your internship u can be placed in the same company .

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are many scholarship available in our college .The fees structure is around 2 lakhs per annum .We have got internships on 7 and 10 semester .The highest amount that will be paid by the company during the internship is 1.5 lakhs and the minimum is 20K

Campus Life :

Psg has several clubs and several events are conducted every week and various colleges come and participate in the events . Psg also have NCC.The infrstructure of the college is well maintained and well mannered .The classrooms are spacious and the campus is located in the city centre where transporatation is much easier than other colleges.

Hostel Facilities :

The fee of psg hostel is 1 lakh.We have both north indian and south indian menu.The quality and taste of the foof is good and feels like homely food.The bathrooms and rooms are clean and neat .They are 4 types of room 2 sharing room ,3 sharing room and 4 sharing room and rooms with attached bathroom .It is quite a comfortable stay .

Hostel Fee : INR 100000 per year

Admission :

We must have a average of 80% in 12th board exams(physics and maths).We will have an entrance exam and an interview .Around 600 peopple will be interviewed and 160 people will be chosen and some will be in waiting list.

Faculty :

The faculty and staffs in our college are highly experienced and everyone have completed their phd.90% of the staffs are friendly with the students .The concepts taught by the faculty are highly efficient and makes our work of learning easy.

Interview Experience :

I am student from batch 2022-27 we didnt have entrance exam ,We had only interview conducted in two different panel .120 students where interviewd in a day and interview process happpens for 5 days .Some 11 and 12 physics and maths questions will be asked during the interview .

Placement Experience:

Students starting placed from their last semester. Reputed companies gave an offer. Like tcs, Accenture, Infosys, etc. The highest package will be 60k and minimum 25k. 98% got placed before completing the degree. 55% above is the minimum for placement if you want to be placed in a high package of salary Job.

SASTRA College Life- An Amazing Experience

Admission:

I got the Admission in this college based on 12th marks and Jee main. i got Jee main score of 130 and 12th marks of 95%. so based on this they will ready a common Merit list and publish the All India ranks. based on your AIR , you will be called for counseling. You have to go to the SASTRA campus, on your allotted counselling date and time and Book the Branch of your choice. This is the Admission process

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course Curriculum is really good it's on par with Bits and Nit syllabus. It's well designed to both suit the students needs and also equip them well with the basic fundamental concepts which can further strengthen their core concepts knowledge . moreover , the syllabus is designed in such a way that it covers 85% of gate exam syllabus. so we can also appear for gate exam immediately after completing our course. The Exam structure is based on conceptual learning. one has to be well equipped with concepts in order to pass in the exams. We must not mug up at any point of time as SASTRA exams will test your concepts rather than ur memory capacity. It will have 3 Cia exams out of which the best 2 exam scores will be considered for internal assessment and then followed by final semester examination which consists of 100 marks out of which 50 will be considered for overall grading. This is the exam structure
