My Honest Review for WIT SOLAPUR

The course curriculum is descent in my opinion. Especially for me because I will likely apply for IT companies. Therefore my course(ENTC) will not be much more beneficial. For me the most subjects taught are not much applicable.

Placements are decent In this college. Many companies recruit students from the college like TCS, WIPRO, PERSISTANT etc. Specially for Entc core branch: Hela is one of the best company which offer about 5-7 lakh package. But If you want much higher package try for offcampus placements. The highest package this year was about 12.5 lakh for CSE branch For Entc the highest package was about 8.5 lakh.

So here is the fee structure for general category students (FY)btech : For first year fees for general category is about 108000( only for college) But by using EBC or EWS scholarship you can obtain benefits and your college fees will be about 61000 rs + 2000 rs for library book deposit hostel fees for 4 seater room is 18000+ 200 rs for form.there are also about 4 three seater rooms which are of small size but their fee is same as 4 seater If you want to opt for 2 seater rooms your fees will 28000 + 200 rs And also for first year hostel fees you have to keep 4000 rs as deposit in the hostel.

The overall experience was quite good for me. there were many events organised for us like WITCHAR, ADVENTURE ARENA, hackathon etc. Along with lectures college also provide sport opportunities like basket ball running, cricket etc.

The Hostel facility is average. The water supply is not currently available for our hostel building due to renovation also the warm water supply (hope they fix it). The four seater rooms are the worse choice. They have provided double beds for our rooms. If you want a proper experience i will suggest you to apply for 2 seater rooms( i myself will apply for 2 seater rooms for third year). You have to come early during admissions if you want 2 seater rooms because they quickly get full. The facilities for 2 seater room is very good.

The admission process was quite easy for first year. After you freeze your seat through capround you directly have to come to college and do the admission process. Hostel admission also must be done at the same time. the college has special minority seats (51% for each 60 students class) for jain students. Therefore for jain students the cut off is much lower. During my admission time the cutoff(for jain students) was: CSE : about 72 percentile IT: about 64 percentile ECE: about 54 percentile ENTC: 22 percentile And much lower for civil and mechanical For general category: CSE: about 89 IT: about: 76 ENTC : about 64 And much lower for civil.and mechanical.

Some teachers are very good and supportive(almost all teachers) but for some subjects the teachers are not so interested in teaching. There are some hard subjects for Entc second year like Ecad and NTA. We had to manage for passing those subjects.
