Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is good and as per the NEP but some subjects and topics taught are obsolete The curriculum needs to be more real life oriented and practical oriented and the obsolete topics need to be discarded

Internships Opportunities :

Several companies come to the college to recruit students for internships The college itself has an incubation centre which provides excellent internship opportunities to students to work for startups incubated with the college Companies come with roles like SDE intern , Web dev intern , social media manager etc Good projects and experience is available for the students in these internships which further help in getting good placements in the placement drive The training and placement cell works rigorously and contacts companies to come and hire the bright minds of the college

Placement Experience :

Students are eligible for campus placements from 5th semester And Internship opportunities can be earned right from 1st semester itself The highest package was 80lpa this year which was give to 2 students Due to recession this year the placement was no that good with an average placement rate of around 60% This is still far better when compared to private colleges and some lower NIT and even better than some IIT

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tuition fee for general male category is 1.6 lakh for a year For OBC it is less For SC ST it is zero Many scholarships are available that are provided to the students and all are merit based Several scholarships are awarded based on financial conditions as well Inside the institute internships or research projects are available but all are unpaid and only for learning or experience purpose Institute brings recruiters who give paid internship to student with the stipend ranging from 10k to 1.5lakh per month

Campus Life :

The college has 2 fests The technical fest named Sphinx held in the month of November The cultural fest named Blitzschlag held in the month of February The fest are an extravaganza and one of the best times in the college to enjoy college life The library has lot many books around 1.5 lakh and several journals E books E journals etc The amount of resources that the library has to offer is very much The classrooms are held in the Vivekananda lecture theatre complex which is the largest in Asia with having a seating capacity of over 6500 students at a time The classrooms are modern equipped with AC projectors board speakers etc Amount of sports and extracurricular activites is very much in college and one doesn't have enough time to participate in them There are inter NIT events , inter branch sports competition , Malaviya sports tournament , Nukkad competition , singing competition , stage play etc The college has more than 30 student run clubs like drama music entrepreneurship etc

Hostel Facilities :

The rooms are equipped with fan , bed , chair and table with a several charging ports and 2 LAN ports for high speed internet The menu of the mess is diverse and good but the quality is not very good It is below average standard and it is a tough task to eat food in the mess all the time The hostel costs around 1 lakh for an year and registration process is very smooth Also there are no restrictions for boys to roam around the campus even at late night

Admission :

The admission is majorly through JEE mains result and Josaa counseling So all the rules in Josaa counselling are to be followed The cutoff for the Electronics branch is somewhere around 10.5k rank in jee mains For CSE it is 5k For AIDE it is 7-8k For electrical it is 15k For mechanical 20k For chemical 30-35k For metallurgy and materials it is around 45k Students get admitted through DASA as well for which refer to the DASA website to see previous year cutoffs The dates for admission are the same as mentioned in the Josaa brochure Jee mains exam is held twice a year and is a very competitive exam So to get into a prestigious NIT you have to work hard The admission process overall is very smooth and just requires to be smoother when physical reporting is there

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio is around 1:40 All the faculty hold a PhD and are masters of their field Some of the teachers do not teach well and take teaching for granted All the faculty are accessible very easily and can be approached with any query irrespective of the time

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course I am studying right now is biomedical engineering, this course is not that famous among engineering students, but this course a lot of power, it is different from any other engineering courses, I found this course very interesting and in the upcoming years this course is gonna be a masterpiece says my teachers. The curriculum certainly helds a lot of workshops which help students interact with the teachers and each other and increase there communication skill and analytical thinking, they give students the opportunity to organise the events to boost up there confidence and prepare them for real world. I would suggest to introduce more interdisciplinary courses such as data science with humanities or environmental science with policy studies. The frequency is like there are 2 continuous assessment per semester and end semester examination at the end of the semester, I think it's quite good the internal assessment helps learn the difficulty of the course.

JECRC provides a lot of opportunities but it is totally us how we grab those opportunities. This year over 2000+ students got campus placements and the companies who took our students were Amazon, Cisco ISRO TCS, etc. Many students were placed in Amazon with 44 LPA which was a great achievement for JECRC.
