Course Curriculum Overview

3

There are number of courses and it's difficult to keep up with them. Having 10-11 courses and attending 9-5 every day is a cumbersome task that might make you hate the university but the curriculum is really diverse. You might study those subjects which you would've skipped in your 11th and 12th. So if you're a bio student be ready to study mathematics.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees isn't very high. Its upto 50k for unpaid seats per semester. Might fluctuate a lil bit but stays around 50 k only. There are no additional charges apart from the fees which covers both tuition fees and hostel charges. Financial aids and scholarships are available for weaker section of society .

Campus Life

3.5

Our university has a huge library with a beautiful ambience. It is the best part of our university. There are vast amount of books from all genres. Also many student run societies and ngo are also there.

Hostel Facilities

3

Food is quite good but its very hot and you aren't allowed to bring any electrical gadgets. Since hostel buildings are quite old so the conditions of the buidlings are not upto mark. But you'll get accustomed to it.

Admission

Entrance exam is held every year for Uttarakhand domicile and non domicile students. The seats are provided on the basis of rank. The counselling process is quite tedious that's what i didn't like about it.

Faculty

3

The faculty is very approachable and may help you out at every moment. Although some might be not so great but overall academically everyone is good. The teaching environment isn't that great though. Use of ppts and the rush to end the syllabus is what happens in every course.

Placement Experience:

In the final year or last semester, the student is eligible for campus placement, not at all courses placement is available, professional courses the eligible, but all the degree is valuable because it is gov. College. You have to maintain a percentage in every semester for getting a placement minimum of 65%. My plans after my degree are to do MSC.agriculture.
