Course Curriculum Overview :
Till the 2021 batch, it has a major part of Institute Cores like Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Calculus, and Fundamentals of Matetial. These courses were mandatory for all the students of every batch. But from th2022 batch they changed their Curriculum and made it more oriented towards the Core Course of the respective bra. The curriculum is excellent in that it covers all the subjects related particular branch. It covers basic and some Advanced Courses and if want any other advanced courses you can choose from their Departmental Electives Which courses floated by respective Faculties. If any other course you want you have to talk to the faculty whom you want to teach the course, and they will provide you with that course.
Internships Opportunities :
We get the daily update about internships from our Career Development Services cell via college mail. The Internship for the roll of SDE, Front end developer, back end developer, Machine learning engineer, Marketing, Reasearch, Data scientist, Product Manager, Video Editor, Bussiness Analyst etc offered. These internships provide 10 to 50 thousands /per month of stipend. Companies are TCs, Samsung etc.
Placement Experience :
If you have required skills for placement to you can get an offer from your 7th semster but you have to fullfill your credits requirements of the course. For Placements many companies are Visited to IIt Jammu you can check it on iit Jammu website, mainly tech companies like infosys, TCS, Samson, Paytm and many more tech giant visited for campus placement. Core companies like nvidia, quallcom also visited for campus placements. For no. Of offer I don't remember the exact no. You can check on iit Jammu website it is around 100-150. The highest is in range of 44-50 lakhs and lowest around 3-4 lakhs. Around 85% students are got placed some students go for higher studies, some go for MBA according to their Intrest. I definitey try for campus Placement.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tution fee I think is somehow in more compare to other government colleges. They increase I think 5-6% fee every year. The tution is around 1 Lakhs and hostel fees around 15-20 thousands. Total fee is around 1.5 lakhs excluding Mess fee. Mess is 22000 for all but some part of it get rebate in the end of the year. Also they provide total tution fee wavior for lower class students like SC/ST. And they also provide tution Fee Wavior based on your family income. Full Tution fee Remission for students who have Family income less than 1 lakhs . 2/3 tution fee Remission for stundents who have Family income b/w 1 lakhs to 5 lakhs. Apart from that they also provide MCM scholarship according to your Perfomance.
Campus Life :
From 2024 the Cultural and Technical fest are merged in a grand 5 day fest named Anhad. But before they were held seprately as Rennao(Culural Fest) and Technentus(Tech fest). These are very refreshing for your life both in mental or academic way. Currently Anhad is held in March after Mid sem. Library is currently small but it has sufficient amount of books and if you want any other book which is not in library you can talk to librarian sir they will provide a online or a offline copy for that. Classrooms fully Air Conditional. They have comfortable seats in it. You can get experience of both morden leraning using Computer Systems and Traditional Board and Chalk learning. Classrooms are fully equipped with Mike's, speaker, camera, projectors for better learning Experience. Sports and social life is also good, we have basketball, vollyball, badminton corts, ground for cricket and footbala as well as for Athletes. Also indore games facilities like chess and poll are also provided.
Hostel Facilities :
Currently are hostels have two categories like single occupancy for 3rd, 4th year and mtech students and double occupancy fir rest students. Hostels room are very good and maintained. Rooms have chair, table, bed, almira already in it. Single occupancy have also have AC. Batbrooms are also claean and oroperly maintained. Meal are quality is good but some time it get not good. Menu is updated In regualr interval. You just have to get admission in college in B-tech course they surely provide you a hostel. No need for separately register yourself for hostel as it is mandatory for btech students. You can't rent a room if you are opt fir B-tech. They don't allow you to stay outside the campus you have to take the hostel.
Admission :
As all of you know for the admission in an IIT you must have to pass the Jee Mains and Jee Advanced Exam. You need to qualify the Jee mains and Secure under 20000 rank in Advanced for the admission in this college or you can also say for any IIT. For the application you have to first apply for the Jee mains from its Website if you clear the Jee mains Cutoff then only you can apply for Jee Advanced. The cut of Jee mains for a general Student vary b/w 90 to 92 pertentile( it may chnaged), 70-75 pertentile for OBC students and further less for SC/ ST students. Application fee you can check on its Website and Appication are open around Nov.- Dec. Every yera for Jee mains after that in may fir Jee Advanced.
Faculty :
Faculties are very interacting and Helpful. They will help you in study in core as well other courese that come into their domain. Some of them are very experienced so they help you in your carrier. Some of faculties are very freimdly you feel like you are interacting with your friends. They help you in doing projects and others work along with your Regular Studies. If you have any doubts in courses or any doubts in other field they will help you to solve that.
