Siddaganga Institute of technology is a great college in tumkur and has multiple benefits like it has a huge campus area of 65 acres and lots of greenery in it providing peaceful environment.
This college offers us with many coding opportunities like competitions held almost every month. These help us to learn and improve coding techniques effortlessly and in a fun way.

Dislikes

Minimum attendance required is 85% which is hard to manage, even though it makes us attend classes but classes become hectic and hard to handle along with studies.
Marking schemes for CIE is complicated for a student to understand and obey.

Course Curriculum Overview :

curriculum decided is well enough as it is mainly based on practical reasons like making projects and lab experiments on regular basis.Teaching methods are good and it helps you get clear view of the topics you cover. Exams are approximately held 1 and half month apart which is perfect, there are two internals and then semester end examination which covers entire syllabus of that semester.

Class Size : 63Course Fees : INR 264732 per year

Internships Opportunities :

if you manage to expertise coding related things it will be easy to get placed for internship programs earning 10k to 100k depending on company. all the while maintaining a good cgpa in first two years.

Placement Experience :

there are plenty of internship opportunities from 5th semester onwards (3rd year), and apart from that many companies have come in past for placements giving highest package of 41lpa with was off campus.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As per the college is situated away from main city of Bangalore and is 60yrs old, the tuition fees are acceptable and comes around 2.7 lakh per year through comedk examination excluding hostel and other charges. Hostel comes around 80k per year which is the cheapest you can get in Bangalore.

Campus Life :

Overall experience was extremely fun these years and improves the mental and social conduct of a person. Activities held are very fun including festival and event. Club experience is highly recommended, there are many options as per your likeness but joining at least one club improves college life by a lot.

Admission :

I had opted through comedk exam and i study in AI&DS branch at the moment. The cut-off went upto 13k for this branch and cse went till 7k and ise till 9.5k. The placement percentage for ece is better than that of cse and ise but high packages is offered to computer science branches.

Faculty :

Faculties in this college are great and cooperative, they support you in every work and queries you have. Faculty chamber is open at all times if any student wants to meet for personal reasons. Syllabus prescribed is perfect and faculties teach them perfectly

A good college for only study

Placement Experience:

Placements are good enough for IT fields and you will get a decent amount of package. But if you want core placements we may get a few companies with few jobs so you should be competitive enough to crack these. Last year our college got the highest package of 52LPA. An average package is around 7.5 LPA.

Remarks:

there are no raging so you fill free and no one distribute you while you are studying. normally in our hostel 6-8 pm is a study time then 8'o clock dinner is started after you finish your dinner you can go for roaming in our college campus. after 9'o clock hostel get will be close so all student have to come to hostel on time and again 10'o clock study time start.
