- It is the fastest growing iit. Due to less strength and High growth rate, lots of opportunities for students in every field either it is sports or academics.
- Campus is extending day by day new building and infrastructure is developed.hightech and lastest technology is used inside the new campus.
Dislikes
- Campus area is less nowadays but it extends in next 1 or 2 year.
- Sports facilities are good but not like the iit standard . Ground is small and common ground for many sports
Course Curriculum Overview :
As our courses are majorly those which either related toh real world problems and some courses are also for social development of students included (ecology and professional ethics) As our courses majorly Focus on problem solving not on theory. And problems are like real world not only theoretical.
Internships Opportunities :
As we talk about internship, Many big companies like Microsoft and Accenture provide internship in our college with stipend of 1.5 lakh. For better internship our college has collebration with Taiwan, which provides internship to our students every year.
Placement Experience :
Placement are very very good. In year 2022, 85 % students are placed in campus placement with average package of 15 lpa. 15 % who are not placed have some other plans like High studies or upsc or many more competitive exams. All Major big companies was arrived for placements
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tution fee:- As tution fee is based on course you offer and how much credit course it is. For each credit they charge 3000 rs and in a normal semester we generally offered 18 to 22 credit. Institution fee:- This fee includes hostel charges and facilities Provide by college like gym and sports etc. They charges about 42 000 per semester. Mess fee:- They charges 22000 for each semester. For students whose family income is above 500000 have to pay all the charges. But for those whose income is less have to pay minimal ammount. SC and st students also have to pay minimal ammount. According to me charges are much for above 5 lakh income person but very affordable for less than 5 lakh and sc and st too.
Campus Life :
Social life of and IIT Jammu students is very good. Because there are many many clubs for every social activities and many clubs for each sports. Clubs like kritas Majorly Focus on social development and help the poors near our campus by providing education to their children on weekends. Likewise sports club provide fair opportunity for students to be good in sports.
Hostel Facilities :
As hostel are not very much old , They are made 5 or less years ago so they have the best facilities and latest technology. Hostel are seperate in wings and each wing consist a water cooler , washing machine separate toilet and bathroom. They are cleaned on daily basis. As we talk about hostel room, they are double occupancy and single occupancy A good spaced rooms with very clean environment. As we talk about rent, We have to pay 42 thousand for each semester which includes hostel+institution fee
Admission :
As it is an IIT, so you have toh qualified two exam jee mains and jee advanced conducted by NTA every year. First you have to qualify jee mains whose cutoff are 93 percentile for general category. And only then you will be appearing in jee advanced For admission in IIT Jammu you have to secure minimum 17000 rank in jee advanced
Faculty :
Faculty is well qualified. As per the IIT guidelines, only iit alumni is able to become faculty of iit so qualification is not much concern. Their way of teaching is also good ,they majorly focus on real world problems. As professor also solving many real world problems. They doing projects also and also involv their students in them.
