- POC System: After JoSAA rounds a student (2nd year) will call you as a point Point Of Contact(POC) for you till the admission. He/She will guide you seemlessly through the admission proces and address any queries you have about the college.
- Courses are mostly relevent as they are for our professional development like AI,ML,DSA,Communication Skills etc.. and personal development like social connect,humanties etc.
Dislikes
- Quality of infrastructure one of the reasons I have taken the admission but you will realise very soon that it is not as beautifu as you have seen in videos or images.
- If you talk about campus life then it will totally depend on you and your friend circle. If you hve not good friends then you will not have any college life here,because as I said before nobody cares about you much (except your SG).
Course Curriculum Overview :
My course AI & DS is mainly focused on AI/ML/DL which we all know is revolutionising the world today and that is why I have chosen it. Well the curriculum provides many important courses which will hepl you to become a good software engineer like DSA,Maths for Computing(for ai), Pattern Recognition and ML,AI,DL,Dependable AI & many course which will really make you think how all AI things happen like chat bots,auto focus in camera. I donot think there is any improvement in course curriculum and if we talk about teaching methods then they should try to make fun the course,which they donot even try except few profs. If you have watched the movie 3 Idiots then there is one scene in Raju says what we have to prepare for this sem and almost exact same work load is here in IITJ. There will be 3 exams,many quizzes,many assignments, some projects etc. Sem is divided into 3 fractals and each fractal contains a exam.
Internships Opportunities :
I have limited data regarding internships: on campus intern:65+ total intern:100+ total companies:80+ median stipend(on campus): 45000 PM avg stipend(on campus): 51000 PM My SG has got intern in a company work on chat bots(for car selling companies like mercedes,bmw etc.) in which his stipend is 40000.
Placement Experience :
Student will be elegibile for Campus placements after 6 semesters and will start their job after graduation. Accenture Japan-8 offers Money Forward-1 offer Aviros-4 offer ICICI- 5 offers Mercedes-5 offers Deutsch Bank-4 offers many more...... B tech-76.32% placed CSE-94.05% AI & DS-89.13% EE-78.46% My plan after getting the degree is to earn enough money to travel the world and start a start up after that.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
This is Government college which impplies Tuition fee will rise iff government say otherwise it will not and it has not been hiked since 2016. Rate of such hikes is you can take less than 10%. My Total cost of Education: 8000(one time & refundable),3800(one time),Tution and other fee=12000*8(sems),Hostel fee=7250*8,Mess fee=19000*8 As of All IITs 100% Tuition fee waiver for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped Family income<100000 full waiver of tuition fee Family Income<500000 2/3rd of tuition waived off. I have worked as a volunteer under 2 fests Varchas and Prometeo.
Campus Life :
Fests: Prometeo(Tech and Entrepreneur)-Jan Ignus(cult)-Feb Spandan(gc)-March Varchas(sport)-Nov and some other fests. You will find many & many books in our library. You will not find any problem in finding books related to the course which you will be studying. If you do not find by luck any book of your choice, then we have ebooks also which cover International Institutions contents. Sometime there may be powercut but everything is topnotch regarding technlogy and facilty within classroom. Here many sports are offered like Volley ball,basket ball,cricket,hockey,football,badminton,tennis.TT,chess,kabaddi etc. and most of them have their club which keep the spirit of playing alive.Exracurricular activities are less focused but yeah available if you are interested you can. Here Social groups, Clubs, and many other things are run by students mostly and institute officials are just there to keep eyes on what is suspiciously happen. Student portals are directly run by officials only.
Hostel Facilities :
In my room I have got a single-sized bed, a study table with three drawers(lockable), a ceiling fan, Almirah,2 lights, and an AC. Menu is top Notch and the meal is with, in lunchtime, you will probably not eat and in night 2-3 days they do the same as lunch and most of their breakfast is nice.
Admission :
You must have passed the cut-off the JEE Adv score for applying for admission in JoSAA. Cut-off for AI & DS course will be around 2200-3200 (CRL). For application form you have do nothing just choose this college in JoSAA and if you get this college it will automatically considered as application form and a welcome letter will be sent to your email. Application fee is the logically 0 as the they take is either reufunded if you donot get any college or if you get the college and want to take admission then that provided money will be settled in you fee. Application dates may vary as it depends on the date of JoSAA and JEE Adv exams. Although it come near around July 2nd Half. Admission Process is so hectic they can do most of the part online I donot know do they do these nonsense formalities offline and make us very uncomfortable at the very first week of our life at IIT.
Faculty :
Here you will find most of the professors highly qualified and ratio of faculty to student is also not an issue here. Thier appoach of teaching s quite borring,they will make you yawn even in 50 minutes lecture. Thier mentorship is quite nice you can get help from them as many students all over the world want to work with our prof to whome your working probability is high. After coming here I knew what my real potential is as they teach you so many things and in which most of them are used in daily life and courses are quite tough which will eventually make you work hard & show your real potential. Faculty are approachable at thier office hour timing and this hour are available 2-3 days in a week for long talks, & for short talks you can talk just after the class ends. They are quite approachable here.
