Infrastructural facilities are good including an open ground with gallery, basketball court, gym
The college library has a decent collection of books required for academic referrals and each department has it's own library.

Dislikes

While many faculty members are knowledgeable, enhancing mentorship programs could further support students in their academic and career goals.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is relevant and rigorous, preparing students well for both personal and professional development. Two series of tests followed by the semester exam and the practical exams are included in a semester.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship updates are provided by the college and the college makes sure the right mentorship is being provided to the students. A number of students do their internships in well-reputed companies. The internship is a must-do in the 4 year-long journey if you want to bring your skills up.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

You can say you almost pay little to no fee since the annual tuition fee is just 9650. This too can be waivered by availing scholarships. E-Grantz is one of the most availed scholarships in the college. Various other scholarships are also provided.

Campus Life :

The annual Technical Fest of GEC Thrissur 'Dyuthi' is one of the biggest tech fests happening in Thrissur as well as Kerala. Annual sports meet is also held every year letting the students engage in healthy completions. Various clubs like IEDC, GDSC, IEEE and many more exist in the college.

Admission :

Securing a rank under 5000 (OBC) in the KEAM exam would help in getting a seat in Electrical and electronics engineering at GECT. Documents required for the admission procedures will be updated on the college website and the admission procedure here went smoothly (Thanks to the seniors who were always ready to help during the admission time).

Faculty :

Each class is provided with 2 academic mentors who are always ready to help you with any difficulties you may face in your 4 year long journey of BTech. The teachers are approachable and are open to clearing students' academic doubts if they have any.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
