My college Pros and Cons

Dislikes

  • Lack of programs and activities we have to beg the ceo in order to get some kind of programs which is really upsetting
  • Lack of sports and outdoor activities, when i came in here i used to play kabaddi in state level i was hoping “yeah its an engineering college it definitely would have a kabaddi team” but i was wrong and im going to change that.

Course Curriculum Overview :

To be honest I was planning on taking Architecture but the workload was alot so I settled on this thanks to my parents advice. I even wrote NATA but as you can guess it didnt go well. This course is the future i guess, thats what everyone says. Its been difficult so far but im sure ill catch up. The internal exams are a bit rough because we got 2 exams a day. wasnt like that in the first semester. that is quite difficult. The subjects like life skill and professional communication is good conductors inorder for us to be prepared in the real world. helps alot.

Internships Opportunities :

i dont have clear idea about the companies and roles offered under internships with stipend because i joined here last year so i feel like its pretty early to know all that. i did hear that most of the companies our seniors got placed into are startups

Placement Experience :

From Semester 7 or 6 i think students are available for campus placements. most of the companies are startups and not much offers are made. the highest package is like 10000 and the lowest probably like 5000. around 60% students each year gets placed. my plans are to take masters abroad and after that find a job back home and settle down. sounds pretty boring but yeah.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The management bought 5000 from each students as special fees in order for the future programs. but in order for a program or an event to happen us students have to literally stand infront of the ceo's door all day. 100 rs was collected from us for a "suraksha" scheme which was put out by our university as a life insurance type of thing. is the course worth this money? i guess so because we are only the third AD batch in our college so it might be worth it we actually dont know as our seniors has not passed out.

Campus Life :

As i said before if youre looking for a fun college life this is not for you. there was no ethnic day until we had to literally beg and it was only given for the afternoon. i dont think there are any clubs in our college everything is department wise. there is a tug of war team, football, volleyball team nothing else

Admission :

Eligibilty for the course was to pass 12th. all the admission details is provided in our college website and also a number is provided in order to find more information. i didnt take any entrance exam for this college because i got through nri qouta. my friends wrote the exams and they said it was pretty reasonable

Faculty :

Some of the faculty members have been really welcoming and friendly, some otherwise. im sure every single one of them are very well qualified and are quite motivating. We can approach the teachers any time you want it is not a problem. They do their job honestly and they work hard even though it goes against our choices :)

Students who have completed their sixth semester can start their placements. Infosys, Wipro,TCS, digitalcore, USTGlobal , Sutherland, Accenture etc had taken placements from last years. The average package starts from 120000 lpa and highest was 700000lpa. This year itself more than 800 students was placed in different companies.
