Likes

The college has a great infrastructure and amenities including library, gym,basketball court,shuttle court etc
Campus life is amazing. There are no restrictions in enjoyment or something like that

Dislikes

First thing i disliked are the some of the faculties are very rude.
The next thing i disliked is the structure of buildings for each courses. The block for engineering is far from the amenities like gym, sport area etc

Course Curriculum Overview :

Our curriculum provide best subject and laboratories. The exam dates are bit conjusted( the dates would be close). There are some subjects which are unwanted for the branch that we are studying which are common to all branches. The difficulty level of examinations are moderate

Class Size : 55Course Fees : INR 54000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

There are lots of companies like lnt, amazon, byjus,TCS, wipro, Oracle, Cisco. The roles could be assistant or trainee. The salary is higher for safety and fire department around 1 lakhs per month. For other departments except civil and mechanical salary would be good.

Placement Experience :

From semester 6 students become eligible for placements and also they provide you placement assistance before that. There are lots of placement provided especially for safety and fire department(almost 95%). Placements for civil and mechanical are less,they do provide but comparatively less.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college provides you with lots of scholarships and financial assistance. There are no such fee hike happened. But they don't provide employment opportunities at the campus. Still there are several scholarships available

Campus Life :

The programs are the best in cusat. Weekly there will be amy programs happening. There are lots of clubs in which students could show their skills. There are art fest named sargam happens once in year, and tech fest named dhishna also.

Admission :

To get admission in CUSAT you need to appear for cusat CAT examination. You can find forms and notifications in official cusat website. Application fee was 1200 for general and 600 for reservations. Exam dates generally would be in the month of May. Examination would be of three hours and would be mcq.

Faculty :

In the engineering department only some of the teachers are very friendly and interaction between them are very comfortable. Some of the faculties are very rude and it also effect the students academic life like internal marks. We can interact to teachers at any time. But like i said only some of them are very friendly.

Interview Experience :

Yes there are activities like group discussion, interview for placement assistance that would be given in the final year. We need to prepare by watching videos in youtube and faculties also support you.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

CUSAT's school of engineering has a robust placement system, offering students ample opportunities tonstart their careers. The campus placement rate is high, with competitive packages and a variety of roles offered by well- knowned companies. Students become eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester. Top companies include BHEL,GAIL,ONGC,L&T , TCS, Siemens etc. Highest placement INR15 LPA to INR 20 LPA. Average package INR 6 LPA to INR 8LPA. Placement rate from 90% to 99%. After getting this degree I'm planning to get immediate employment through campus placement.
