- I love the campus life of my college as it offers everything a student needs. Starting from a humongous fest to each and every things which I need to study and learn arranging from libraries to sports and even the hostels for accommodation.
- I also love the level of teaching the professor offers in this college. As the professors are very professional for their expect subjects and they teach us in a very detailed manner.
Dislikes
- I didn’t like the 10 days campus immersion in this course. I think that they could extend it more to enjoy and to also understand different probabilities of campus life and also the reliable education offered by IIT.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is very straightforward and linear for the real world. Like if we compare this to the other famous degrees out there like the BTech then in BTech first year you are taught each and everything even if you are opting for CSE. But in this course of Computer Science and Data analytics you are focused only on the foundations to advanced level of Computer science, Data Science and Mathematics. So this course takes a deep dive into this three subjects and makes this course very detailed. The exams and assignments are taken once in every week. We have quiz and assignments to revise about what we have studied and can understand that pretty easily. The quiz are usually on a easier side than the assignments as they are more detailed and comprehensive.
Internships Opportunities :
There are a lot of companies that offer internship in our college. In this course companies like Darwin box, Amazon, Oracle, Samsung and even Flipkart offers internships in campus. But you can also opt for internship outside campus and take help from our college by submitting a letter of recommendation to internships for a better outcome. The stipend for these internships ranges from 8000 to 32,000 per month, depending on the level of difficulty. The assigned tasks in this internships are often related to our course subjects which is data science and computer science. So the tasks will be based on that .
Placement Experience :
The campus placement of an IIT is always considered very good, but if we are talking about this course, the placement offered is lesser than that offered in a BTech course. but even compare to any other university, this course offers are reliable placement according to your level of study. After completion of your third semester, you are eligible for internship and internships are provided in campus, and you can also opt for internship of campus. The internship stipends are ranging from, 8000 to 32,000 per month. After completion of your fifth semester you are eligible to get a job in campus and placement starts after fifth semester. Different MNC companies are invited to recruit students from this course. The average package is often 15 LB to 16 LPA and can get up to 54 LPA. the percentage of students getting placed is often 94 to 96%. I am also planning to complete my degree and get placed in a reliable MNC company and work for an year and then opt for my masters.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Regarding the tution fees for this course is 40,000 per semester and 80,000 per year which makes it of total 2,40,000 for the whole course. In every six months or a semester you are called by the IIT to arrive at the campus for giving your semester exam and for the practicals and mock tests. You are also eligible and can come to their cultural fest and everything. There are no such extra costs rather than the fees itself as the hostels are included in the fees for 10 days when they allow us to come. There are no such scholarships available for this course but Bihar's student credit card financial aid is available for this course and you can opt for that. There are lot of ways for being employed inside the campus. You can become a member of different clubs and work with them and compete with them to earn stipend and rewards. You can also join the startups meets and incubation lab as a assistant or service provider for monthly stipends.
Campus Life :
The campus life in IIT Patna is very lively and very good. They are many fests conducted in this college. the famous fest or the annual fest is the cultural fest of IIT Patna known as Anwesha. Rather than that, there are many more fest held like the sports Fest known as Ito and the technical fest known as celesta. as speaking of library. There is a old library inside the administrative block and it is quite big and spacious, and there are a lot of books available in this library. Considering there is a new library which is inaugurated few days ago is the main library of IIT Patna and has all the books and generals and research paper that a student needs. There is a lot of space for students to sit and read books and it is a multilevel library inside the campus. Rather than that there are more sports facilities that are offered in the campus like badminton table, tennis, cricket, football, and even swimming. There are many clubs which are run by student of IIT Patna.
Admission :
The admission process was very easy considering with the rest of IIT's admission process. You are eligible if you have given JEE Mains or Adv. with a decent rank and have obtained more than 60% in 12th. There are no reservations benefit in this course as the fees are same for all which is 40k per semester. To enter the course you have to be eligible for the course and also have to give an entrance test for that which is IITP SAT. After giving that exam then you are eligible to enter this course and join the prestigious alumni of IIT.
