Course Curriculum Overview :

I was too much interested in geography after completing my 12th. So from the very start I wanted to do PhD in Geography. I have a decent knowledge of my field and it helps me in living my major dream that is of traveling. The teachings and management of the college is not that good for the children as they lack of several responsibilities and knowledge. The question paper sometimes comes from out of syllabus but the level of exams are quite moderate.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are several scholarships and schemes provided by the government so the tution fees is not very hard on students to afford. I paid 11,500 per year for two years in masters and got scholarship both the years. PFMS - There are no campus employment or jobs provided by our college.

Campus Life :

Very few programs are held in our college Library is under construction right now There are no as such facilities or technologies provided to us We had a sports meet a few months ago No, there are no such provisions

Admission :

I filled the CUET - PG form and Allahabad University Post Graduation form to pursue my Masters in Geography. You should be holding bachelor degree in that particular subject to be eligible for this exam. You can find the application form on Sarkari Result.Com and the fees for application was somewhere between 600-900rs. The form usually come in January or February and exams are counted in March or April. I have not availed any reservation benefits. The timings of exams were good and also the difficulty of exam was moderate to hard. The website sometimes don't work properly and people might face some payment issues as well. One of the most important things about the whole exam conduction is that the systems on which we sit during exams doesn't work properly sometimes due to which people face many difficulties in the further process.

Other Applied Colleges

Jawaharlal Nehru University - [JNU] | Master of Arts [MA] (Geography)

I preferred staying in my city only.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of my college is proactive and supportive. While not all students secure campus placement the college equips us with employability skills and networking opportunities, providing career counseling, freelancing etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course covers all the main topics of UGC NET exam, hence my reason for choosing it. Like i said, if you study your syllabus well, you are decently prepared for half the competetive exams relevant to the field out there. Teachers could also have a more digital inclusive approach to teaching, referring to e-material out there. They happen once every semester. So that would be twice or thrice a year almost. They are moderate in terms of difficulty. One can easily sweep through them if they study well in the preparatory breaks. That much is enough to score decently.

Placement Experience:

Honestly speaking I did not found its placement facilities satisfying. College and university have to improve them for the betterment of students and also the image of their college. A very few students get placed from some course. It should be improved.

Remarks:

The college is good except for a few things that need to change. The teachers should get more involved in the class. The assignments/projects given to us should encourage creative thinking. The question patern should change.
