Campus atmosphere is very nice. Although it is small but gives a positive vibe overall

Dislikes

Infrastructure is very minimum. Not enough facilities are available

Course Curriculum Overview :

My college comes under Kerala Technical University abbreviated as KTU. It put forwards skill based education but mostly fails in providing the skills necessary for the students. Exams are done for namesake and the paper correction procedure is way too lazy. You cannot build a proper foundation with KTU

Class Size : 40Course Fees : INR 56000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Our college provides less internship. If we want to do internships we should find ourselves some internship. I find it justifiable then only we will be aware of the newer techniques and technologies in the market

Placement Experience :

I am an automobile engineering student but there are no core company available for my stream only IT based companies are coming for the placement as a mechanical engineering student in the placement cell of our college

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

3 quotas - 1) management 96000 pa 2) state merit- 56000 pa 3) nri quota - 150000 pa For nri quota you should pay additional 1 lakh as donation to the college. Considering the fees, it is on the higher side comparing to the facilities they provide

Campus Life :

Campus life is satisfactory. Mostly events like cultural fest annual fest and tech fest happens in the even semesters. Name of oru annual fest is cult a way. Name of the technical fest is advent. Various clubs are also present

Admission :

Anyone who passed keam entrance exam could opt my college as an option. There are 3 quotas and considering various aspects you will be put into one. I had availed no reservations yet was selected in the state merit list. Students who opted science in 11th and 12th are eligible to write the entrance exam. 60 is the cut off mark out of 360

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
