Course Curriculum Overview :

The course deals with the basics of whichever branch you apply to. It does not deal with the current technology, but teach us about where and how the current technology came from. For CSE, you need to study the primitive language of C, which has technically no use in the job you are going to get. But studying a language like C helps you to get a better grip on the ocean of computer languages. To stay up-to-date studying the syllabus only is not enough. You will have to do extra stuff to make you an attractive candidate in the job market

Class Size : 72Course Fees : INR 85000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Has a really good internship cell. They can be approached with a company you find and they will arrange an internship program for you. It helps a lot in the resume and the college makes sure you do an internship before sitting for an interview.

Placement Experience :

RSET is known for its placement opportunities. It provides a great first job to its students with no backlogs. If you pass every year with no backlogs there is a really high chance you get placed in a company. The pay is not over the top, but it's good for a private college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

RSET provides scholarships to students with high marks in entrance exams. But comparitively it is one of the costliest engineering colleges of Kerala. They provide regular financial aid provided by the government to the financially inferior students. Other than that there is no other schemes provided by the college other than the government ones of course

Campus Life :

The campus is beautiful. It has a really great aesthetic value. But the college management does not give any importance to the co- curricular activities. The college has fests on every semester but they are evidently just a formality. There is no real commitment from the side of students just because the events are too boring. Do not enroll if you have dreamt about a really colourful college life

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel provides a really clean accomodation and comparitively better food compared to other hostels around. But again, they are run by the college management itself. So,do not expect a fun hostel Life if you enroll. You will sleep comfortably. But the rest of the time you will find it really annoying with some unreasonable conditions of the management

Hostel Fee : INR 92000 per year

Admission :

The admission process during my entrance was through KEAM. The process overall was not that complicated if you meet the required standards set by the college with respect to entrance marks during application. The cutoff rank for entrance exams were 4652. The one thing I didn't like during admission was the amount of documents needed for verification. We had to get hard copies for everything. This could have been simplified through the use of verified digilocker documents.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
