Deep Insight of BVCOE ICE

Dislikes

  • Campus size is very small. Recent construction of building make our ground much more smaller.

Course Curriculum Overview :

1. Instrumentation and control engineering branch has portion of every engineering i.e. Computer science to Electrical engineering. This aspect makes it more practical and demanding engineerig for the real world market. 2. Our curriculum is very updated. Our curriculum include every subject which will help students to under real world problems and applications. Make them ready to solve and counter those problems. Re-structure our critical thinking to make innovation to counter those problems. 3. I would say make the approach of teaching more practical and provide us first hand and real life experience about industry, instruments etc. 4. Overall branch is too easy but few subjects per semester are difficult. There is only mid-sem, practical exam and end-sem exam. 4.

Internships Opportunities :

Right now i'm in 4th semester. So, I don't have internship experience provided by college. But i can share some of my senior's experience. One of my senior from the Instrumentation and control engineerng department, she was a intern in a contruction company like larsen and tourbo.

Placement Experience :

1. From the 6th or 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. 2. Infosys, TCS - 57, Nagarro - 44 offered, ZS associate, Scaler-1, Mcdermott, Accenture - 123, Cognizant- 193 offered. 3. Highest package offcampus are 45 lpa from amazon and 23 lpa by startup company. On campus highest package was around 14 lac and lowest package was around 3.36 lac by tcs. 4. I have no idea about the percentage of students getting placements but I can give estimate which is around above 80% students get placed. Non-placed students include competitive exam aspirants, students who wants to pursue MS or MBA in west and those students who get rejected by every company. 5. I would go for placements and defense competitve exam.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

1. I don't know about tuition fees increase policy but fees do get increase every year. Recently, I talked to the admin department they also said that for the next few years fees would be around 1.5 lakhs 2. Complete cost of education would be around 6 lakhs. Nowdays, per year fees is around 1,45,200 rupees per year. 3. There are few scholarships which are given by goverment and college i.e. EWS scholarships, merit cum financial assistance and fees concession for reserved category students. 4. No, I have not taken any campus employment and I don't know about any job roles provided by colleges to students

Campus Life :

1. In our college, There are many techinal and non-technical fest i.e. BVEST, BVP IEEE, HACKATHON etc... are the technical fest and Music fest by AAGAZ, DANCE FEST by AURA etc. 2. The range and accessibility of books and journals availabe in the library is okayish to be honest. I mean to say, you'll mostly get great books by great author with respect to your subject. 3. Our classes is totally equiped with projector and whole campus area has good connectivity of wifi provided by college. 4. There are sports facilities in cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, TT, Badminton etc... Annual sports event is also conducted by college sports authority which is called by Ranbhoomi. 5. There are many student - run social groups i.e. ED cell, Placement cell etc... , clubs i.e. GDSC, GFG, Code chef etc.... or student portals i.e. BVCOE website, including their impact on student life.

Admission :

1. Your 11th and 12th should be from science stream i.e. Non-medical, meaning you should have studied PCM subjects in 11th and 12th class. 2. You'll get the application from GGSIPU's website to apply for this course. The application fees would be around 1200-1500 rupees. GGSIPU would release the application dates in February/March. 3. Yes, There are reservation benefits. Reserved categories student will get the benefit of reservation as per the reservation law. 4. You'll get admission to this course by taking Jee Mains exam, which is held twice a year in January and April. Jee mains exam is difficult. 5. Percentile Calculating system is quite unfair. They take half of a year to allot a college to students.

Placement Experience:

Placements at DTU are good, even in core branches, but students must have the necessary skills. At DTU, over 300 companies visit, offering decent packages. The highest packages can reach crores (of course, these are international packages). Some students also prefer to pursue master's degrees or MBAs after their degree. From the third year, students are eligible for on-campus internship opportunities, and in the fourth year, they are eligible for placements. It is definitely beneficial, but you must have skills and knowledge of your subjects. Strong communication skills are also essential.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to learn coding and that's why i chose btech in computer science at igdtuw. the curriculum is not designed from the perspective of preparing you for real-world application, instead it solely depends on what should be taught at a university based on the branch. the area of improvement could be removing the unrelated subjects in the first year of engineering because no one actually learns anything from that and instead, there should be related subjects. exams are held twice a semester, making it four times a year

The highest package offered to a student was 59. 45 lacks in the year 2021 and the average salary package was 19.15 lacks , the highest package was Google. The college provides internship opportunities as well and it gets started from the beginning of 3 Rd year of students, students in their 2 nd year also got internship opportunities. so almost all students get placed and if someone still does not get any placement so they have the opportunity to do higher study in Mtech. The college provides higher study options to students, this includes Mtech and Ph.D. courses and many more. So you can go to this college.

From 3rd year students are eligible for campus placements. Major companies include Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Swiggy, Sprinkler, Blackstone etc. A few years back,8 students from NSUT got a staggering package of 1.25 Crore from Google. The average package for tech branches is around 17-18 lakhs per annum. In tech branches, it has a humbling record of 100 percent placements approximately. As of now, I'll like to do my master from abroad after completing BTech from NSUT
