Course Curriculum Overview :

It's pretty good curcilum for mechanical engineering when compared to other colleges. Good labs. 2 mid and one final exams. The exams will be tough and some are easy . The 2nd mid will be an open book examination .

Class Size : 70Course Fees : INR 195000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

College is bringing many companies for selections. And we should do projects for every course for internals. The faculties are very helpful in that. We should do one student internship after 2 nd year which we should get on our own

Placement Experience :

More than 800 offers will be made . Vit mostly it offers. Coe companies are also visiting but very less when compared to it. Wr are eligible for placements from 7th semester. More than 85 per emt students are getting placed avg will be around 4 lpa highest around 1 cr

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is no tution fees increase . The same tuition fees for 4 years which you pay in 1 year . But the hostel fees u will get different options . Based on the options u choose the money differs like mess and room type.

Campus Life :

Vit chennai has 2 annual fests one is vibrance and other is technovit . Vibrance is culturalfests where celebrities cone and perform and many fun events with sports fests. Whereas technovit is more of related to tech. We have many clubs. And participating in club is must where u should complete credits

Hostel Facilities :

The hostels are good but outing permissions are some what strict . U have 3 mess named special, non veg and veg with 3 different menus repeated every week . The taste is good. We can choose hostel like 2 4 6 ac and non ac sharing rooms

Hostel Fee : INR 150000 per year

Admission :

There is no reservation benefits , but based on rank we will get admission into different categories. Which varies based on money. The counselling fees is around 6k . We should pay 1 year fees to confirm adminsson

Students starting placed from their last semester. Reputed companies gave an offer. Like tcs, Accenture, Infosys, etc. The highest package will be 60k and minimum 25k. 98% got placed before completing the degree. 55% above is the minimum for placement if you want to be placed in a high package of salary Job.

SASTRA College Life- An Amazing Experience

Admission:

I got the Admission in this college based on 12th marks and Jee main. i got Jee main score of 130 and 12th marks of 95%. so based on this they will ready a common Merit list and publish the All India ranks. based on your AIR , you will be called for counseling. You have to go to the SASTRA campus, on your allotted counselling date and time and Book the Branch of your choice. This is the Admission process

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course Curriculum is really good it's on par with Bits and Nit syllabus. It's well designed to both suit the students needs and also equip them well with the basic fundamental concepts which can further strengthen their core concepts knowledge . moreover , the syllabus is designed in such a way that it covers 85% of gate exam syllabus. so we can also appear for gate exam immediately after completing our course. The Exam structure is based on conceptual learning. one has to be well equipped with concepts in order to pass in the exams. We must not mug up at any point of time as SASTRA exams will test your concepts rather than ur memory capacity. It will have 3 Cia exams out of which the best 2 exam scores will be considered for internal assessment and then followed by final semester examination which consists of 100 marks out of which 50 will be considered for overall grading. This is the exam structure
